Just because Christian Metal doesn't use metaphor doesn't mean that nobody else does.

If it was a Christian Metal cover with a pic of a triumphant Jesus strangling a demon, all the Christians would praise its boldness...but then all the little demon-worshippers would cry in their cereal.

But, if it was Jesus kicking Mohammed in the behind, $h!t would get blown up.

Well my opinion is that cover is an accurate depiction of what took place at the crucifixtion, and would serve well on any christian metal lp cover.

Honestly? Becuase it's kinda fun (and I do feel a little bad about it)...it's just so easy...kinda why people create/use art like this album cover...because it gets a reaction.

BTW your band's name Temple of Blood is that a metaphor for the blood of Christ or is that just cool name for a band?

I also don't think this cover is that controversial.....its nothing new, we've all seen this kind of thing before and its becoming more and more common place. Its a cool looking cover for sure. I just think the added floating crucifixes are pointless and distracting, the piece would be a lot better IMO without them.

I'm sure you noticed that the crucifix is also on the original picture? It is just placed in a different spot.

I thought maybe you had some sort of pertinent point about metaphor. Still waiting to see what it is considering that Tourniquet, my band, and many many other Christian metal bands have used it at times. Secular metal doesn't have an exclusive monopoly on metaphor.
