The combination of excellent reviews (82 on Metacritic) and great word of mouth really helped here. The A Cinemascore shows that audiences are loving it which will help translate into an extended run. |

It was a good movie - lots of fun. Some of the other parents I know that took their kids all loved it. I'm sure it will have a good run - it's one that parents won't mind taking their kids to see. I'm guessing the sequel will be out in a few years. | |

I haven't seen it (nor do I plan to) but the local entertainment guy on our Fox station latched on to that song that's in it and I gotta say that damn thing is a major earworm. They green lighted a "Lego" sequel as soon as the first-weekend box office reports came in. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| 20th Anniversary Edition of Redneck Zombies
You know what FF, don't bother with this one.
I remembered it as one of those classic "so bad it's good" movies from the 80s but it's not, it's just bad. It has it's moments (the hitchhiker spoof of Texas Chainsaw is hilarious if you've ever seen the original TCM) but it's just not worth sitting through all the bad visuals and lousy acting and dialog. If they had cut this thing down to a little over an hour they might have had something but as it is there is just way too much unnecessary "tripping footage" that's obviously there to pad the running time. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

I don't know if I could handle it if that song keeps coming back over and over. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| "Within the Rock" (1996) - in yet another "Alien" wanna be, a crew of outer space miners drilling on an asteroid accidentally free an ancient carnivorous something-or-other from its rocky tomb, and the usual carnage ensues. Low budget fun. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"
