The problem with SVU, is that it gets depressing after a while.
I feel the same way. Ditto for Criminal Minds. They're good shows but they're always so damned grim. Criminal Minds is like watching a variation on Silence of the Lambs every week. It gets old after a while. When it comes to murder mystery/procedurals, I prefer stuff like Bones and Castle, which have a good amount of mayhem but also include humor in the mix.
Those are my wife's two favorite shows.

All wonderful. Brain from Planet Arous has to be my favorite. First saw it when I was five or something and it hasn't gotten old.

Last night I watched three more episodes from the first season of "Supernatural," one of which co-starred Joss Whedon-verse fave Amy Acker from "Angel" and "Dollhouse," so that was a nice surprise

I got through an hour of 'The Lone Ranger' and had to shut it off. Too cornball and hokey.
I understand it's Disney, so they can't go all "dark & gritty" that the kids like these days, but they make the Lone Ranger look like a bumbling Inspector Clouseau while Tonto is the real brains of the operation. No wonder it tanked.

I watched the hockey game between the Columbus Blue Jackets and Pittsburgh Penguins tonight. Pittsburgh won the game 4-3 and the series four games to two.

As did I. The Blue Jackets certainly made it a tough series.

Found out they have Dust Devil on Netflix so I put everything on hold to see it. I was a big fan of South African director Richard Stanley's cyberpunk/killer robot flick Hardware (check it out even if to see Lemmy as a futuristic taxi cab driver). I've been waiting ages to get around to see this, his magnum opus that was plagued, plagued, plagued by distribution hell and eventually became lost. It's quite amazing, though flawed. I wouldn't say it's better than Hardware, but it sure was enjoyable and stylish. A mysterious South African drifter, duster and all, is possessed by some demonic entity which spurs him to serial killer type activities. Great, ambitious location shooting.
Hoping to pick back up with my PS Hoffman viewing this weekend.
