| ^^ What about the totally random zombie vs. Shark underwater fight scene?? Haha. It struck me funny while watching "Zombie" that it was considered so controversial/brutal in its day (legend has it that some theaters passed out barf bags to patrons), cuz aside from the "eyeball" gag, you can see way more blood & guts in any given episode of "The Walking Dead," haha. We've come a long way, baby! _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

Controversial and shocking in its day, the infamous eyeball-impaling scene is still tough to watch.
Some nice eye candy in it too. And who can forget the shark vs zombie scene ?

| [quote="S.D."]Resurrection - Not bad so far, not great either, will check out a few more episodes and see how it goes. [quote]
I plan on catching up on this once Walking Dead finishes up this week. The promos have me intrigued.

Some nice eye candy in it too. And who can forget the shark vs zombie scene ? I saw this one well before I first became a zombie movie fan with my initial viewing of Romero's Dawn of the Dead in my early twenties. I'll never forget those two scenes and that actual flesh eating. At least the gore was more realistic than Dawn's comic book bloodletting. lol 007 you said eye candy, good pun.

| I remember the TV advertisements for Zombie more than the film itself. It had the word Zombie scroll slowly across the screen while this synthesized voice spelled out the letters (ZZZZZ OHHHH EMMMM BEEE IIIIII EEEEEE) and then it showed the zombie face used for the movie posters and cover. No footage from the film at all, just the title and poster. |

| When I was a kid, "Zombie" had an immense "rep" as the most hardcore gross out movie ever made. I heard about the eyeball scene from a kid in school and it freaked me out so bad just HEARING about it that I didnt feel brave enough to watch it till years later!! _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| ^^Shawn, I looked everywhere for that trailer to no avail, but I know it exists. Think it was on the DVD. The "narrator" was hilarious.
I had the same reaction as Keith to the word-of-mouth (and my high school years were in the 90's!) but it was the box art to the VHS that had me. That turd of a zombie looked pretty terrifying.

| I was too scared to even look at the box cover in the video store when I was a kid!! Even when I started getting really bigtime into horror in my late teens, "Zombie" was The Big Kahuna... the movie that was only for the tr00est of the tr00 gore fiends, no wimps allowed, haha. I was well into my 20s before I finally said "I think l can handle this one now..." hahaha!! _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

There's still one like that for me. "Flower Of Flesh And Blood". Yeah, I've seen "A Serbian Film" but something about everything I've ever read or heard about that Guinea Pig entry always scares me off. Even when I ordered a different Guinea Pig movie and CD Universe sent me "Flower" by mistake, I sent it back without watching it. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Those never really did much for me, but hearing about them as a kid--like the Faces of Death series--made me want to hide from the world.

Bates Motel Orphan Black What'd you think of the Blacklist? Amazon had a few up that we got to see and I want to see the rest. I really enjoyed, mostly for Spader. I think it could've collapsed without him

I think it could've collapsed without him The Blacklist is silly, unbelievable, lazy and impossible to not watch. Spader and his relationship with the lead actress (who isn't very good but sure is easy to look at) are the most interesting elements. The rest of the characters are stock, two-dimensional cardboard cutouts but Spader keeps me tuning in each week...well, not just Spader... |

Agree with everything you're saying. She really is amateurish but makes for great eye candy. She is improving as the season progresses, she never really had a starring role before this one, just bit parts, so I give her the benefit of the doubt that she's just green and learning her craft. |

| "Rock N Roll High School" (1979) - led by rock 'n roll rebel Riff Randall, the students of Vince Lombardi High rise up against their fascist, rock hating principal- with a little help from the Ramones and some high explosives - in Allan Arkush's classic comedy that I have seen more times than I can count. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"
