I found it a little odd/creepy that the "Dragon Sound" guys, in addition to being bandmates, all lived together in the same house (where they were frequently shirtless), and also all went to the same college and traveled around everywhere together in the same convertible. There's a little TOO much togetherness there!!
...it made me wonder why that chick singer wanted to hook up with one of the band members, if you catch my drift. Lots and lots of shirtlessness in that house. The chick singer was probably confused because her male role model was her brother with that giant bone earring. I think my favorite part of the movie is the quote at the end about achieving world peace...which immediately followed a horrific bloodbath in a public park. It seemed like a tiny bit of a mixed message.

| "Land of the Lost" (2009) - action comedy based on the 70s kid show, with Will Ferrell as bumbling scientist Rick Marshall, whose experiment accidentally traps him in a primitive alternate dimension full of dinosaurs, cave men and evil alien Sleestaks. Forgettable but fun while it lasted. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| Black Metal Veins
This was NOT easy viewing! Documentary following five young people as they destroy themselves with heroin, crack cocaine and anything else that they can get their hands on, set to a background of supposedly grim tr00 Kvlt black metal (which they are all involved in to some extent)
I know the drug scene, I was involved in it, personally and then professionally for a lot of years and even I found some of this film deeply shocking and disturbing. I think that it's the participants willingness to push themselves further and further into the abyss without even the faintest thing that is real to tie them to the world. If you thought that the Bobby Liebling film was depressing and hopeless, this one is on a whole other level, at least Bobby had the capacity to want more, fall in love and get back into his music. There are also some upsetting sex scenes that are pretty congruent with past traumas that the girls talk about from childhood.
I had to watch this film to it's conclusion, but I'm not sure that I would recommend it to anyone, it is an incredibly hard hitting doc, but not one for everyone.

In trying to see if this was available for streaming, I discovered the director is known as Lucifer Valentine, director of such classics as Slow Torture Puke Chamber, ReGOREgitated Sacrifice, and Slaughtered Vomit Dolls?? Regardless, I'm intrigued.

Regardless, I'm intrigued. Slaughtered Vomit Dolls is one I was interested in seeing until I started reading about how bad it is. Not bad-disgusting but just plain bad. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Today I watched Denver kill the NFL's Evil Empire 26-16. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
Now I actually have to root for Seattle to beat San Fran. Before last week, this would have been a "who cares" game for me because I don't like either team but last week San Fran was soooo obnoxious that I actually have to cheer for the Seahawks.
Oh, and Kaepernick is in the really blatant ripoff headphones commercial that so obviously steals from Elton John's "Your Song" which only adds to my hatred of the Niners. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

I missed that game unfortunately but am I glad the Patsies lost. Now if the Seahawks can pull out a win. San Fran is slowly crawling up my hatred list. Their arrogance keeps growing exponentially.

Yep. They've always been high on my hatred list because they're a division rival but you are correct about they're arrogance growing. Glad to see them get bounced out of the post-season. Now I'm a Broncos fan. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

TERRIBLE movie. Best Joke..."Matt Lauer can suck it!" I didn't hate it, my kids liked it better than I did (naturally they loved the gag about Will Ferrell being pooped out of the dinosaur... ) I figure, six months from now I won't even remember that I saw it. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"
