Just a tip. Most people probably aren't going to watch seven videos in a row. Hell, most don't watch one or two; they just post their own video.

I usually watch them, but if something leaves me cold then I usually say nothing
The only recent ones I liked were Heavy Tiger & White Empress both of which I knew about. There are a lot of very prim ladies on here waiting to get rescued from a dragon or similar so I'll post some scuzzy rock & roll wimmin

The Oath - All Must Die Too bad The Oath broke up. Decent doom metal.
Going back through this thread, not that much I liked. I like females that SOUND like females and NOT like men. Angry, raspy thrash vocals are ok sometimes, but I usually found it ridiculous when chicks growl death metal-style. Derketa and Mythic were ok though. also, way too many goth metal/opera metal-type bands on this planet too. Did Theatre of Tragedy spawn all of this ??
http://www.heartofmetal.net/t17610p150-female-fronted-rock-metal The Dollyrots - "Twist Me To The Left" , and Tsunami Bomb - "Take the Reins" . Good stuff.
http://www.heartofmetal.net/t17610p175-female-fronted-rock-metal Ah, hahaha, I either forgot this is where I seen HEAVY TIGER first, or maybe missed seeing this before on page 8 !

http://www.heartofmetal.net/t17610p200-female-fronted-rock-metal The singer from Adrenaline Rush was in PEACHES, a well-known pop duo in her country of where blond people come from - Sweden. Her voice is still more suited for pop music than hard rock, but good effort I guess.

I like it when women do death metal growls, I think they generally pull it off better then guys do as at least I can tell them apart, whereas when guys do it I can't for the life of me tell one death metal band from another 95% of the time.
Within Temptation was the band that inspired many goth-rock groups, I personally like that style quite a bit.

I've always found it odd that male heavy metal fans almost demand women in metal bands sound like women, but then listen to power metal bands all the time with dudes singing who sound like chicks.

Same with hair metal groups.

He said "sound like chicks" not "look like chicks". Â

Lizzies - that was a very cool watch ! Love the name - and they are young, cute and wild ! The video was a great glimpse of them - tough and fiery - reminds me of the G-N-R 'Paradise City' vid - where you kinda watch more than listen - That red leather coated gal is the true leader of them for sure

I have spent some serious coinage on music watched via embedded clips on this board over the years. I appreciate it a lot.

Here's a great female rock band that unfortunately never achieved much recognition(though they are still together today). I actually learned about them from reading Steven Adler's autobiography:

I suppose this band is best described as "symphonic rock" as they're not really heavy enough to be classified as metal.

Here's one I recently discovered...Spiders from Sweden. They have a nice retro rock sound that should appeal to some folks here.
Their latest album Shake Electric is awesome. Go buy it.
EDIT: The band name is "Spiders" and they are from Sweden. Although 'Spiders From Sweden' would be a pretty cool name too.

Have you heard anything else from them? Shake Electric is a fairly new release, but they have an album and some ep's before it. Wonder if it's worth exploring?

I have three EPs, Fraction, Spiders, and Weekend Nights, that are definitely worth your time. I assume the other full-length, Flashpoint, is as well.

Flash Point sounds pretty good from what I've heard. Now if I could only find it in my price range. Looks like most of their stuff is pricey imports. Shake Electric is the only one to get a wider (re: USA) release.

Save yourself a few Euros. Put on a Marilyn Manson cd and watch some lesbo porn. You'll get the same effect.

I might have posted about this band already, but I can't remember. Anyway, a great all-female hardcore band with slight metal influences. Not sure what happened to any of these gals, but they were pretty fantastic.

I'm really late getting round to this EP for some reason, I think it's because there are only two new tracks. This one is really different from the stuff on the LP but it's still pretty great, I love her voice on this.
