Go their Equator album today. Cost $1. Well worth it.

I don't own anything by this band, but this new tune with the new singer is pretty great.

Save yourself a few Euros. Put on a Marilyn Manson cd and watch some lesbo porn. You'll get the same effect.
i don't think so. already heard MM and new album sux as all before till 2009. boring MM.

I'm really taken with this band although there are a few reasons that you guys might not be.
a. Violins b. They sing in Czech c. Violins
It's more of a folk record with heavy guitars than a straight metal record to my ears

I really like it too. The YouTube trolls are seriously hating on her but I think she's a pretty great singer, I hope that she gets to show off her voice in The Agonist.
It has to be said that is the least metal dancing ever!

Been blasting this CD for a few days in my car - Bought it last year on Ebay - for 'She's a Killer' and I ended up liked the entire release - she sings the word 'night' a lot. ( Saxon,' Innocence' comes to mind ) Dokken / Doro type of crankage - They don't sound American.....

I can't get past her nasally vocals. The music's not bad but I can't focus on anything but her vocals. I want her to blow her nose and try again.

Also here's one from a short-lived Canadian heavy metal band.

Yup, the band was first fronted by Leather Leone, then Kate French.

This band might not be the most original, as they do sound like a heavier version of Evanescence, but I quite like them.

I have been into a lot of female bands as of late. I have not read over the entire 12 pages (just the last three or four) and apologize if I repeat any of these bands.
Sister Sin has been my favorite discovery, I am absolutely hooked on the album Sounds of the Underground.
Love some Nervosa too
Cannot get enough of this cover by Kobra and The Lotus (High Priestess is a good album too)
Finally I have to echo love for Butcher Babies. While I can see where the opinion of BB music being generic comes from, there is something infectious about their music. And props to these ladies for trying to make Death metal into party rock.

Double posting but forgot one band whose major label debut I am anticipating, Oceans of Slumber. They hail from Houston and knock this Candlemass classic out of the park!

Yeah, I played the crap out of that album. Unfortunately I don't find the rest of their albums to be quite as compelling. They're decent but Sounds of the Underground just knocked my socks off and the rest of their catalog doesn't.

I can hear the Evanescence similarity. What's missing, though, is the quality songwriting. It's okay, but...I don't know, something's missing.

I like this. You might too. The Amorettes from Scotland. Bagpipes not included.

I liked what I heard from Diemonds awhile back, but kinda forgot about them. Maybe it's time to take another look.

I remember us talking about Trees of Eternity a long time back when they were still demoing song like this
I was blown away by the singer Aleah Stonebridge such a beautiful voice
Then it all went quiet from them, but now the album has finally come out.
Tragically I think the reason it took so long to record was that Aleah was battling cancer, a battle that she lost earlier this year.
Stunning voice, stunning woman gone far too soon! The album sounds great from what I've heard
