CRYPTIC AXE - Female fronted 80s US epic power metal

My new discovery and latest addition to the RWH demo series:

CRYPTIC AXE were power metal quartet (3 chicks and a dude) from Chicago area who cut some epic demos before changing their name to ORDAINED FATE in late 80s and releasing a couple of cult albums before fading away.

The demos were a LOT more raw and powerful than the s/t 1992 CD fetching crazy bucks on eBay. An amazing female-fronted epic power metal with Christian message for fans of Acid, early Warlock, Powers Court, Cirith Ungol, etc.

This is cool! I used to have Ordained Fate's demo cassette (actually I think I still have it somewhere) and played the crap out of it. I also enjoyed their debut.

Funny story: I actually have a home movie on VHS where I was blasting Ordained Fate's demo in my grandparent's garage and My Aunt makes the comment "how do you listen to that crap?!" Ofcourse she said that about all my music, but kind of cool that it just so happened to involve this band.

Neat-O. I have that first Ordained Fate album, it's a decent listen (if a bit generic sounding)... Since when does that debut "fetch crazy bucks?" I bought it from RadRockers for less than five bucks only a couple years back.
