“Again, it’s another New Wave Of British Heavy Metal-type song, at least as far as what I do. I loved the early Def Leppard records, and I’m copping a bit of a Rick Savage bass approach on it."

I wonder if track 9 'Black Swan' is the same as the European bonus track from a few years ago. At least re-recorded with the current line-up. Or not. Whatever. Now that I mention it, #7 'New World Order' is an old track too, isn't it? What the hell, Dave? Can't come up with new material?
If that is the case, I don't mind at all because I don't have actual physical copies of those 2 songs, just downloaded items on my computer. It would bne nice to have them.
"New World Order" is one of my favorite Megadeth tunes, so I'll be curious to hear what they've done differently. I hope I'm not disappointed like I was w/ the re-record of "A Tout Le Monde" which was completely useless, as the original was way better. But we'll see...I just know I flipped out in the store the other day when I saw (and hadn't already found out about it earlier) that a re-issued version of "Hidden Treasures" included that song as a bonus track - it should have been on there the 1st time around, that song PWNS so hard.
I'm digging "Public Enemy no.1" though it sounds like a bit of a re-tread of "Sweating Bullets" from a subject matter standpoint. Still, solid stuff.

I had a feeling this new album wouldn't be quite as fast as Endgame, and so far this seems to be the case. I'm not really worried about speed at all though.

I downloaded a leak. I'm not as crazy about it on the first few listens as id like to be. A few songs I just plain don't like, such as the blowhard political song We The People. So I don't know. Ill be jamming it all day today.
I think DAve sounds great on the clips i have heard so far.

New version of 'Black Swan' is up for streaming. Bar the new leads and a couple of minor chord progression changes, it's not particularly different. I kind of think that widdly lead kind of spoils the groove a bit, but ignoring that, it's probably the superior version.

Nice. I'm not all that familair with the "original", so this song is practically brand new to me. Really looking forward to this new album.
