Side note: I have no idea what happened to the copy I made of that Sons of Liberty album when this thread was current. I went looking for it the other day when the Jon-stormed-the-Capitol story started blowing up. I know I took advantage of the "free download" version that he made avail before Century Media put out physical copies, and burned it to CD-R, but I can't find the disc now. Oh well (shrug) there's always YouTube.

With that being said if you stop listening to IE because you don't like Jon's political stance then you need to throw out the rest of your collection too. You know because of band involvement in murder, drugs, sex with underage groupies, alcoholism, etc. etc.

One thing i would never ever do, is get rid of my collection because i don't agree with the artist on certain things.

Good call. People need to separate the music from the personality or behavior of the artist. In the past, Dave Mustaine and Phil Anselmo turned off a lot of people, but the real fans stuck by them.

I could careless about someone's political beliefs are different than mine, for example I am still a Ted Nugent fan but disagree with about 99% of his political statements, the difference between Ted Nugent and Jon Schaffer, is Nugent did not go invade the capital, vandalized it and threaten lawmakers lives. That will be the last word on the subject
