| ICED EARTH's new full-length studio album, "The Crucible of Man (Something Wicked Part II)", will be released through SPV Records on the following dates:
Germany, Austria, Switzerland: September 5 Rest of Europe: September 8 USA, Canada: September 9
"The Crucible of Man (Something Wicked Part II)" continues where ICED EARTH's 2007 release, "Framing Armageddon (Something Wicked Part I)" left off. "The Crucible of Man" features the return of frontman Matt Barlow who was mainman/guitarist Jon Schaffer's original voice of choice to introduce the "Something Wicked" saga back in 1998 as a trio of songs which concluded their album, "Something Wicked This Way Comes".
God!!! I hope it's better than the first one....

| I'm not big on Barlow. Shoulda kept Ripper. But hey, it's Iced Earth, gotta have it. | |

| I'm really psyched for this one! I too love the EP and am most impressed by the fact that I like the Framing Armageddon tracks re-recorded with Barlow. That confirms that the problem I had with the band's last two albums was the vocalist. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I love both Barlow and Ripper. I think they changed their approach a bit with Ripper, and doing the Something Wicked stuff with anyone BUT Barlow makes no sense to me. I'm glad he is back. Arttie | |

Bingo! Even though I like Barlow's work with Pyramaze, it almost sounds like an Iced Earth cover band. Schaeffer's songwriting and Barlow's vocals just work like hand in glove IMO. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| the new EP is awesome and the songs re-recorded with Barlow sound much better. I would probably enjoy the album a little more if Barlow was singing on it all. Ripper is an awesome singer, but Barlow just fits Iced Earth perfectly | |

| Barlow defined Iced Earth's sound, so it makes sense that the two Ripper albums feel out of place. I don't really care for Framing Armageddon at all. I mean, it's ok... But nothing compared to Something Wicked... or Horror Show or Burnt Offerings. I've heard samples of the EP on iTunes and it sounds GREAT! I'll be buying the new one the day it comes out! | |

| I`m getting bored with Iced Earth. Haven`t really enjoyed any of their records since The Dark Saga. And they are soo over hyped, more than deserved imo | |

Not all BAD, there are of course things I like about their resent releases. I just think that the band is overhyped/overrated by many.. No big deal though.
