Yes! I emailed them about this over a year ago and they said they would look into releasing the whole show.

Nice! I've purchased a few Rock Candy Remasters Riot: Narita, DIO: Holy Diver, RATT: Out of the Cellar/Invasion of Your Privacy/Dancing Undercover, Winger: Winger/In the Heart of The Young, Streets: 1st, John Waite: Ignition, Mr. Mister: Welcome to the Real World, Rick Springfield: Living In Oz. I think they do a fairly nice job.

I have a copy of Dokkens breaking the chains and tooth and nail on rock candy as well as original cd releases from the 80s... I really like the rock candy version of breaking the chains but prefer the original of tooth and nail... to me it sounds much more raw than the cleaned up rock candy version..I am more interested in the upcoming rock candy version of Jetboy's feel the shake... I see they are also releasing stone fury..I have an original copy of that right now that I put on ebay...

I didn't want to start a new thread because while this is a new release it's a live album

I saw this yesterday and not that this is any surprise, but Don Dokken sounds awful!

I will obviously grab this because I am a Dokken fan boy, but, yeah, Don is sounding worse and worse every year unfortunately.

Well it is good to have some new Dokken material. I will probably get it.

Sounds terrible. That is made even worse by the fact that this is obviously touched up, as Don sounded unlistenable during the actual shows on the Japan tour. The chorus on the new song sounds incredibly boring as well...it would have been one of the more unmemorable tracks had it appeared on Lightning Strikes Again or Broken Bones.
I'll listen to it at least once, but it's sad this is all the reunion came to. Had it happened a decade ago I think they would have been able to deliver a much better product.

Sad to hear, he needs to learn to drop an octave or something.

He did. They've tuned a step down and he's STILL singing an octave below that. It's all he can do. The vocals on that live stuff were definitely redone in the studio as he's in key, he's just singing really low and soft...no "oompf" or push behind any of it.

Meh. I'll pass. I have no interest in that whatsoever. Those first 4 or so albums are all I need from this band.

Saw the Reunion in 2016 in South Dakota. It was $50. 3/4 were cool, sounded great, and was totally worth it. I want a $15 refund cuz Don sounded like shit and did not care to be there one bit. Lame, cuz Don could have made it really fantastic. Dick.

Exactly, you could tell even from the interviews they did together that he did not want to be there. I don't care about him singing an octave lower. The songs still sound good to me when the current Dokken lineup does them. However, for the reunion shows Don sounded like he put absolutely zero effort into the shows. A quick youtube adventure reveals that a few months prior he had gained a good amount of his vibrato back. That quickly disappeared during the reunion shows. And now he's back to sounding semi-decent again.

I am still amazed at how much animosity still exists between Don and George. Sad, really.

It wasn't just Don...all the footage I saw of the SD show saw George playing most of the show with his back to the crowd...even during solos.

What?? Why would anyone do that? Doesn't make sense to me. The fans are paying to see you play not to see you turn your back on them. I'll have to look for some of that footage it has me curious now.

I am a huge Dokken fan, his voice is different, but the man is in his 60's and has been playing performing for over three decades. At times he sounds decent, but on this show, not so much.

I am seeing Lynch Mob in a few weeks, I really hope he doesn't do that. Hopefully it was just the reunion stuff and the idea of the negativity between him and DD.
