It’s not a matter of everyone does it... he was caught on camera. Mustaine also mentioned that their relationship was already strained.
Caught on camera doesn't make a difference. If I was caught on camera, would I get fired from my job? Nope! People react like he killed someone, when all he did was something every human being on the planet does. It's a natural part of life and the media needs to stop fucking with people's lives and report on shit that matters. This is such trivial garbage, it's unbelievable. Him and Dave have other issues, then fine get rid of him for that, but don't go using this as an excuse.
I have no idea what your job is, but you are lucky if you wouldn’t be fired. At least if you affected public relations of the business you represent. It’s on the news all the time. But nowadays it’s more because of woke culture (and if you are “privileged”).
Whatever... it’s Dave Mustaine’s call, and he said their relationship was strained.

It only affects public relations because the media blows everything out of proportion. It's nobody's business what he does, the outcome should be between him, the other woman and his wife. End of story.

Cyber sex is perfectly legal and socially acceptable. The only problem is it wasn't with his wife.

In today's cancel culture it's highly possible!
Ellefson is a pastor, married and probably has kids this person's age. Mustaine had to do this to protect the band and brand of Megadeth.

I agree with this. I don't understand the outcry from this other than the morality of what Ellefsen pulled. It really comes down to the three people it affects. That said, I totally understand that Mustaine did what had to be done.

Ellefson has offered his best wishes to his former bandmates on the upcoming tour.
I guess there’s no “hard feelings”.

I think Max Norman summed it up perfectly!
It’s unfortunate for all involved. Mustaine will not tolerate humiliation, and Ellefson has probably forever altered his reputation and career.

Oh shit!
I had thought about that a week ago.
Ellefson is exactly what they are looking for. Although way overqualified as a musician!

I'm sure they're just goofin', but I wonder what his Mentor stage name would be? Probably something like "The Mass Debator."

So who is Mustaine going to hire next ? An ex-bassist from Stryper ?

Ellefson’s partner gives up. The gravy train has ended…
Mustaine is gonna distance himself as much as possible from Ellefson. At the moment, Junior is an outcast. There’s no way he can ever join another band as successful as Megadeth. He is in the same club as Greg Christian.
