Nope, never. I have a couple of their discs, but I'm not a big Megadeth fan.

There's more Megadeth discs I haven't heard than I have.

EDIT: this actually applies to all Big Four bands of thrash. I like Testament and Annihilator better.

Funny you mention this because I had never heard it either until the "Final Kill" or whatever it was called came out a few years ago. It's pretty awesome! the bonus tracks are throw away but the new mix is outstanding and the drums sound great. I played it over and over before digging deeper and comparing it with the original. Obviously I like the latest version the best but it IS the one I heard first.

I’m hoping for something even better than Dystopia. Something with songs about multiple topics! Imagine a mixed bag of Aliens (Hangar 18), supernatural themes (Mary Jane), Sci-Fi (Psychotron) and his trademark political commentary all wrapped into one album!

Throw in a “Martial arts” song too (for kicks) pun intended. Razz
I don’t think he’s written about that yet... and he just got his purple belt in Jiu-Jitsu.

Kiko could do a Brazilian style instrumental as well.

I think that if 13 and Super Collider were EPs, they'd be much more warmly received. Both have great songs (ie, Black Swan, Kingmaker), but they also have lots of filler.

Ellefsson caught on video jerking off.

https://www.metalsucks.net/2021/05/10/megadeths-david-ellefson-responds-to-allegations-that-he-groomed-an-underage-girl/

He is married, but that's rock'n roll to you, covid era. Cybering with groupies. At least it wasn't with a minor, like the original rumour said.

Ellefson is in deep shit!

If Mustaine was looking for a reason to make another change, he has it.

Not to mention his wife will probably divorce. Like he would say... there’s a “season” for everything.

My opinion is that he let his success and ego take him down that road. And the devil is always ready to accuse.

Ellefson has been getting pretty “money minded” lately for a pastor. All his entrepreneur endeavors have been evident. Sometimes the big guy smacks you down to humble you.

Megadeth's official statement, from their FB:

"We are aware of the recent statements regarding David Ellefson, and are watching developments closely. As it relates to creativity and business, we are all familiar with one another. However, there are clearly aspects of David’s private life that he has kept to himself. As this situation unfolds, it is important that all voices be heard clearly and respectfully. We look forward to the truth coming to light."

I doubt the other person was under 18. That part I don’t believe is true.

But you never know... we’ll see. His career is over if it is.

Man, when I read your first sentence then saw you provided a link, I thought you posted a link to the video of him spanking the monkey lol So glad that isn't the case. Laughing very hard

Shame he had to go and screw up like this, always thought he was better and smarter than that.
