"Stunt Woman" (aka "L'Animal," 1977)
Slapstick French rom-comedy about a down-on-his-luck movie stuntman (Jean-Paul Belmondo) who tries to win back his ex-girlfriend and fellow stunt performer (Raquel Welch) when they end up working on the same film together. This silly, poorly dubbed fluff has a few decent gags scattered throughout (as well as some absolutely cringe-inducing 70s style gay stereotyping) but seriously, the only reason anyone should bother to watch this forgotten flick nowadays would be to ogle Ms. Welch, who (as usual) is so hot it's st00pid.

"The Hidden" (1987)
A parasitic alien with the ability to "jump" from one human host body to another is loose on a crime and murder spree in L.A., with a cop and an FBI agent in hot pursuit. This action packed mix of sci-fi and shoot-em-up is still entertaining as hell after all these years.

And it features Shok Paris in the opening scene. That's how I discovered the band.
Not to mention that the stripper is played by Claudia Christian who later played Lt. Cmdr. Susan Ivanova in one of my all-time favorite sci fi series "Babylon 5".
So yeah, I own "The Hidden" and it's a fave for multiple reasons.

I hadn't seen "The Hidden" in a looooong time, it was good to see that it's still holding up pretty well. There are a lot of movies from that era where I remember them being totally bad-ass when I saw 'em back in the day, but then when I revisit them 25+ years later... not so much.
...this is kinda funny, though: my 9 year old was watching with me, and he figured out that Kyle McLachlan's character was another alien less than ten minutes after he walked onscreen. I don't know what it was exactly that tipped him off, but all of a sudden he blurts out to me "He's not a real FBI guy, is he Dad? He's an alien cop!" and all I could say was "You'll see..."
...mind you the first time I saw "The Hidden" I was about sixteen, and I remember being totally surprised by McLachlan's "reveal" late in the movie. I was like "You're way sharper than I was at your age, kiddo."

Gotham
I've been pretty disappointed in this season so far; the Mad Hatter character just bores me. But I do like what they're doing with the police captain becoming something of an avenging superhero. The implied homosexual relationship between Penguin and Riddler is weird too. It's interesting but also odd; not sure where they're going with that.

"The Man With The Golden Gun" (1974)
Roger Moore's second spin as James Bond takes 007 to Hong Kong and Bangkok, where he faces off against a master assassin (Christopher Lee) while trying to recover a stolen solar-energy device. Not a top drawer Bond flick, but there's plenty of exotic Asian scenery as well as generous amounts of female eye candy courtesy of Britt Ekland and Maud Adams, so I was entertained.

"Silent Night, Bloody Night: The Homecoming" (2013)
A cheap looking remake of the 1972 cult classic about a Christmas Eve murder spree at a long-abandoned mansion. Aside from moving the action to rural England instead of Massachusetts, this stayed pretty faithful to the story line of the original flick, with a higher body count and better gore effects. However, it suffers from wooden performances all around and a sound mix that's so muffled that you can barely hear what the "actors" are saying at times. Stick with the '70s version, it may not have been great but at least it had a young, hot Mary Woronov in it.

"Ghostbusters" (2016)
Three paranormal researchers, a former MTA Transit clerk, and their dim-bulb male model receptionist fight to save NYC - and the world - from a massive supernatural outbreak. Who you gonna call?
When Sony Pictures announced that the beloved supernatural franchise was being "rebooted" with an all-female lineup, it generated one of the most ridiculous Internet hate campaigns in recent memory. As for the movie, keeping my expectations low worked in its favor. The new cast works well together and I laughed out loud quite a few times. It's far from a masterpiece, but "GB16" is not as bad as you've heard, either.

"Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla" (2002)
When a typhoon churns up the seas around Japan and awakens a "new" Godzilla, the Japanese government creates a giant robot duplicate of The Big G. to do battle with him - using DNA from the corpse of the O.G. Godzilla who first attacked Japan in 1954. Needless to say, this proves to be a spectacularly bad idea because the Mecha-G refuses to fight the "other" G at first...until the usual roaring, smashing, blasting, zapping, crashing and stuff blowin' up ensues. You just can't go wrong with a Godzilla movie on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

The "Mecha" movies crack me up. Sure, the best way to fight a giant lizard that's stomping the crap out of your cities and citizenry is to create a gigantic robotic version of said lizard. Logical, no? I also like how flawed the mecha monsters are. There's always some "glitch" in them. Even Mecha King Ghidorah wasn't really worth much. But at least he was a cyborg with some organic monster parts in him. Mecha Godzilla is just a perpetual loser with stuff that doesn't work. I think he was actually made by Samsung.

Not to mention, they build the Mecha-G in this one using the skeleton of the original Big G from 1954 as its framework, for some reason. Nothing can possibly go wrong with that, right?

As a kid, MechaGodzilla was my favorite foe of Big G. I always loved the design(although like Toho said the logistics are a nightmare)

The '70s flick "Terror of Mechagodzilla" was my first G flick when I was a kid. I was about 8 years old and I thought Mecha-G was the most bad-ass thing I'd ever seen!

Hahaha...even as I kid I always wanted Godzilla to beat the crap out the his tin-can lookalike. I've always hated Mecha Godzilla. I like Mecha King Ghidorah on the other hand even though he's almost as pathetic. But at least he has two organic heads...
