I've once again embarked on a quest to watch the entire Babylon 5 series since I've rediscovered my elliptical. I've done it 2 or 3 times before but it's been several years since the last time.
Today it was Season 1, episode 2. The first season is kind of dodgy but once Bruce Boxleitner becomes the commander of the space station the series takes off and the overall story arcs start taking shape. Although they already start painting some the 5 year story palette way back in the very first episode. You don't know that at the time of course unless you've already seen the entire run of the show. Great writing.

I think that's next on my elliptical watching. I've already watch the entire series through once but I could do it again.

I've just started this as well To be honest season 1 is a bit of a slog, they really didn't get it quite right on that season.

I have a ton of TV entire series on DVD and I think most of them struggle to find their footing at first. The one exception I own is Monty Python's Flying Circus. I have the entire BBC series on DVD and the first 2 seasons are easily the best.
But other than that I have the entire series of: Babylon 5, Star Trek (the original), Star Trek TNG, Stargate, Twilight Zone, MASH and I think all of them struggle in the early seasons.

Over the week finally completed watching Star Trek ( the original series) entire set,
also watched 'Specter', another excellent entry into the 007 series, and Daniel Craig so re-defined the role of James Bond, its going to be interesting to see who they chose to replace him with, when he leaves the role.

"Fearless Fuzz" (aka "Magnum Cop,' "Fearless," and "Fatal Charm," 1978)
A down-on-his-luck Italian private eye (Maurizio Merli) is hired to investigate the kidnapping of a young girl. He winds up in Austria, where he gets mixed up with gangsters and a blackmail ring run by an aging stripper (Joan Collins!). I had high hopes for this one at first, but it turned out to be a pretty dull Eurocrime entry. The first half of the movie is full of gags and wisecracks so it feels like a detective spoof, then it unexpectedly gets all dark & gritty in the second half with talk of child slavery and kids being killed.
...but hey, Joan Collins was still pretty MILF-y when she made this and she gets her boobs out twice, so there's that. Otherwise... not recommended.

Hush (2016)
A deaf woman who lives alone in a secluded area is tormented by a psychopath in this good movie streaming on netflix. Well with watching.
Followed that up with Devil Dog:Hound Of Hell, a 1978 TV movie that deals with satanists summoning a demon to mate with a German shepherd to create a litter of monstrous dogs (why? I don't know, just to be evil I guess). Not much really happens in this and I struggled to stay awake. It stars Richard Crenna, Yvette Mimieux, Like Eisenmann and future hogtie Kim Richards as the family that adopts the evil dog.

"A Million Ways To Die In The West" (2014)
It's 1882 on the frontier, and a dorky, tenderfoot sheep farmer (Seth "Family Guy" MacFarlane) falls for the new girl in town (Charlize Theron).. unfortunately she's married to a vicious gunslinger (Liam Neeson). MacFarlane also co-wrote and directed this Western parody, which is no "Blazing Saddles" by any means but it does have its share of raunchy laughs and a great supporting cast (incl. Neil Patrick Harris, Sarah Silverman, and Amanda Seyfried). This flick was an epic box office crash and burn back in 2014, but I dug it. Worth a look!

I watched a documentary on the ST:TNG and there was a ton of infighting going on during season one between an ill Roddenberry and studio. It is why Doctor Crusher was replaced in season 2 and a lot of writers were fired when they did not do what Roddenberry wanted. He was close to death but did not know it.

Finally watched Santa's Slay. The version Fat Freddy posted a couple pages back is no longer available (copyright claims) but I was able to find another version that was subtitled in Serbian (I think). I thought it was pretty good and am glad to catch it. Loved getting the Goldberg catchphrase after the credits.

Glad you liked it. So many classic lines in that one for me.
One of my favorite parts is when Dave Thomas (the preacher) is announcing the names of the dearly departed strippers and he keeps looking up from the pulpit to see if anyone recognizes a name like "Dixie Rect". Yeah, it's juvenile but the look on Thomas' face is hilarious.
And of course the opening scene with Fran Drescher getting her hair set on fire by Santa Goldberg is priceless.
BTW, the stripper on the trapeze that Goldberg runs into face-first is now his wife. They met making this movie.

Yeah there were some good bits in it. I thought for sure my wife wouldn't like it but laughed at it along with me so I imagine this will be getting multiple viewings in our household.

The Mummy's Ghost (1944)
Typical Universal Mummy fare, this deals with a a 3000 year old mummy (Lon Chaney Jr) seeking his reincarnated princess (Ramsy Ames).
