I'm up to the episode of "Gotham - Season IV" where Butch Gilzean becomes Solomon Grundy but I guess that's about as close as I'm going to get to finishing Season IV before the fifth and final season starts Thursday. I was hoping to at least get to the episodes where Jerome's brother starts "morphing" into The Joker because I know that's coming in this final season but there's no way...

Crazy Rich Asians - watched it with the family. Not bad. Had some funny moments. Sort of like "Coming to America" but in Singapore.

Saw "Aquaman" and enjoyed it. Seemed more like a Marvel movie and they used really cheap red dye on Princess Betty cause it looked as phony as 44DD's on a pygmy woman.

I used to watch that every year. Then I broke down and bought the entire series on DVD.
Tell FF how great the "Howling Man" episode is; I know they show that one every year.

I haven't caught that one. The last 2 shown were "Eye Of The Beholder" and "To Serve Man".

"The Howling Man" is from season 2 and it's the one where some monks have The Devil locked up in their monastery. Those SyFy marathons almost always show that one.

As I expected, my "project" to watch the entire "TZ" series in order this past year fell by the wayside pretty quickly, cuz I have the attention span of a fruit fly.

I think that's next up on my daily "workout viewing". In the last couple years I've watched every episode of Star Trek Next Generation, Babylon 5, Stargate SG1, Stargate - Atlantis and currently working my way through Gotham. I think I'll do TZ next; I've done it before and trust me, it takes a loooooong time.

The Children(2008)-During a family Christmas get together, a mysterious virus spreads across the country infecting the children and turning them into killers with the adults being their victims. This British horror flick received some good reviews when it was first released several years ago, but I didn't really care for it all that much myself as I felt the story wasn't all that interesting and that the kills were rather boring with most of them done off screen. I give it 2 out of 5 chainsaws.

Boo! Kills off-screen. I hate that unless I'm watching something from the 50s when that was the norm.

"The Mentors: Kings of Sleaze Rockumentary" (2018)
The long and bumpy history of the late, great El Duce's notorious band of comedic porn rockers is detailed in this thorough documentary, which tracks the hooded trio's rise from scummy punk rock obscurities to PMRC poster boys and beyond. "Kings of Sleaze" lives up to its title as it's loaded with tons of tasteless/hilarious vintage live clips and photos from the band's archives, as well as commentary from Mentors members past and present and members of Raven, GWAR, St. Vitus, Exodus and more. If you've ever rocked out to "4-F Club," you'll get a kick out of this doc. Obviously, those who are easily offended need not apply.

Rainy Saturday Double Feature:
"Heavy Trip" (2018)
A dorky garage band from a small town in Finland faces a series of wacky obstacles as they prepare to hit the road for their first-ever "real" gig at a Norwegian heavy metal festival. In other words, it's kinda like an extreme-metal "Airheads." If you don't mind reading sub-titles, this is a very funny slapstick Euro import, loaded with headbanger in-jokes.
"Deadpool 2" (2018)
Marvel Comics' foul mouthed, fourth-wall breaking, self-aware assassin-for-hire is back for another round of mayhem and destruction. This time he tangles with the time travelling killing machine "Cable" while he tries to stop a young mutant from embarking on a life of super-villainy. It takes a while for this flick to kick into gear, but once it hits its stride, the sight gags (and bodies) pile up fast and furiously. A total hoot.

"Left Behind" (2014)
It's RAPTURE TIME, baby! Nicolas Cage is a philandering airline pilot who's 30,000 feet in the air when the good Lord suddenly decides to Thanos-snap all of "His people" back to the home office, causing mass panic on board. Meanwhile, his estranged daughter must navigate through the chaos and mayhem on the ground to find her way "home." If SyFy and the Trinity Broadcasting Network collaborated on a film project, it would probably look like this klutzy, heavy handed, cheap looking mash up of disaster movie cliches and end-of-the-world religious allegory, based on the inexplicably popular series of Christian post-apocalypse adventure novels. We're not even a week into 2019, and I may already have a front runner for the worst movie I'll see this year!

"Death Race" (2008)
Jason Statham is an innocent man thrown into a hellish future prison, where inmates race to win their freedom in a televised, no-holds-barred race between supercharged, heavily armored, weaponized vehicles. This souped-up 21st century update of the 70s B-movie classic "Death Race 2000" loses most of the original's wry social commentary, but makes up for it with lotsa fancy effects and stunts, explosions and ultra-violence. Silly fun, followed by three DTV sequels.

Like I expected, apparently this flick did nothing to address the numerous theological/philosophical issues the concept of The Rapture raises. I have a boatload of questions/issues regarding the whole concept (which I was raised with BTW) but the last place I expect to get serious answers from for an issue like this is conventional "Hollywood". Someone should do a serious documentary on this subject though; that would probably be infinitely more interesting.
