Slayer - "Repentless" new album release announced

So this morning it was announced Slayer's new album Repentless will be released on 9/11/15. It BETTER be good!!!

Lame title!

They should've just went with Unrepentant. Repentless isn't accepted as canonical english by whoever the hell governs the language academia. Looks like they're trying to pull another 'hell's bells' on us, but for them it's like that dictates the entire theme of their career.

Well, here's hoping the album is good, at least.

It's not bad grammar/spelling...it's a play on "relentless".

Maybe Kerry King is just a huge fan of archaic forms or the word unrepentant.

Slayer who?? What is band that's releasing an album. I remember when Dave left and Jeff sadly passed away. That was the end of that band.

This is Kerry thinking he is clever. Which doesn't bode well for what he thinks might be good songs.

Cool. I dug World Painted Blood, hopefully this will be another winner.

Who cares about the album title? I'm open-minded about the album and look forward to hearing it.

I don't really care about the album title. It just sounds weird and I keep wanting to call it Relentless.

Yeah, I mean, of course the music is more important than the title, but some times I think a title (and cover art) can be a pretty good early indication of where a band or artist's mind is at.

World Painted Blood was a dumb title too. The album was okay I guess, but the title just sounds like something a middle school kid would come up with.

I wonder if English was Kerry's least favorite subject in school? The title sounds foolish. Like something a young band from a non-English speaking country would use.

It's not a f'n grammar lesson...it's Heavy Metal for cryin' out loud!

So there are no album titles you think are dumb?

Repentless also sounds like name of a 90s Gothenburg-style band and maybe for one album they got Tomas Lindberg to do the vox.

I just think it's a little silly to have so many posts bagging on the album title when we haven't heard the album yet.

Don't worry. Once it's out, it will be bagged upon most repentlessly, I'm sure.

I know metal is allowed to be dumb... especially lyrics and opinions from a guy like Kerry. But this just makes me wonder how lame other things could be on the album. Hate to say it, but he's almost like the evil twin of Steve Rowe or Lips from Anvil when it comes to bad album titles.
