By far, the loudest movie I have ever seen in a theater... my kids had their hands over their ears for most of it!!!!! I thought it was OK but not great.....

I thought it was OK but not great..... I didn't really dig it much at all. It never really felt like a "Superman" movie to me, if that makes any sense. By the half way point I felt like I was watching an alien-invader video game with occasional cameos by Superman _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

I thought it was OK but not great..... It was the loudest movie I had ever seen also, I liked the movie better the second time around but IMO the movie did not do the character much justice and Superman never kills. He is a cub scout and that is part of the appeal ( and for the some folks the turn off) to the character. Amy Adams besides being smoking hot, made a great Lois Lane and she brought intelligence to her character. You can see why Superman would fall for her, she is not just some dumb chic waiting to be saved.

Amy Adam was amazing in the role.... and very, very easy on the eyes. 1000 times better than the girl in Superman Returns. Agree on the Superman killing thing... that was a WTF moment in the flick..... That said, the guy that play Zod brought some serious intensity to the role. The other issue is that we've seen the origin story before... we've seen Zod wreck havok on Earth before, we've seen Clark's parents....... But, it is pretty obvious Warner is using the Marvel playbook to build tent pole franchises at this point.

| The only reason Man Of Steel was made was to usher in a Justice League movie. I think that's one of the reasons it was so disappointing, it was like a contractual obligation, only made because it had to be made so they could get closer to the film they actually want to make. I foresee the upcoming Superman v Batman movie to be the same thing, another required stepping-stone toward a Justice League film.
The other disappointing franchise right now is Spiderman, another case where Sony rebooted the series because if they didn't make another movie the rights for the character were going to revert back to Marvel. So, a completely pointless reboot made solely for contractual reasons. And we're surprised when they seem half-assed?
I don't think any of the other studios are going to catch up to Marvel at this point, they are just too far out in front.

| "Downloaded" (2013) A "VH1 Rock Doc" about the rise and fall of the now infamous file-sharing site Napster and its continuing effects on the music industry and the Internet in general. Directed by Alex ("Bill & Ted") Winter. Interesting stuff, though it runs a bit longer than it really needed to. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

Superman v Batman is subtitled Dawn of Justice, so it's pretty obvious that it's a justice league lead in. Plus, they have admitted as much... and it also features Wonder Woman and there are rumors of Aquaman in it too. I'll see it in the theater, but I am in no way expecting it to be as good as Avengers.

| "Justice League: War" (2014) DC Comics' mightiest heroes join forces to defend Earth from an invasion by Darkseid and his army of Parademons in the latest installment of the DC Animated Universe series. Lots of cool cartoon mayhem! _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

Yeah, I saw that....... I realize that they will change it all up and will need to see it on the big screen.... Actress needs some Lynda Carter type curves too - LOL!

| Finally saw Guardians Of The Galaxy. Loved it! My favorite characters were Rocket and Groot, both stole the show. Fun movie that introduced me to Marvel characters I wasn't familiar with. Also loved the scene at the end of the credits: - Spoiler:
Howard the 'Fn Duck!
The only other people that stayed for that were two guys in their late teens early 20s. Poor kids probably had no clue, "We stayed after the credits for that! How stupid!"

| "Turner and Hooch" (1989) Tom Hanks is a compulsive neat-freak cop who is forced to take in a huge, slobbery dog - the only witness to its master's murder - in this funny "buddy" action comedy. We recently lost our dog so the ending didn't go over very well with my kids, but up till then they were enjoying the flick. Honestly, if I had known that - Spoiler:
Hooch gets shot and killed at the end
I wouldn't have let them watch it... "The Battered Bastards of Baseball" (2014) Netflix documentary about the Portland Mavericks - an independent pro baseball team that took Oregon by storm in the early 70s. The team was owned by actor Bing Russell (father of Kurt Russell), and their roster was made up of an interesting mix of has-beens and never was'es including one time Yankee legend Jim Bouton. An entertaining doc about a forgotten piece of baseball history. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| "We're the Millers" (2013) a small time dope dealer hires a crew of losers to help him pose as an All American family so he can smuggle an RV full of weed into the U.S. from Mexico. Naturally, mayhem ensues. Funny, raunchy stuff, and Jennifer Aniston (as "Mom") is smokin'! _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

I like it, at least she's not a walking poster for buying US war bonds now. I like it too (obv) They couldn't really have gone for the '70s look, any more than they could with Batman. If they are done right, Justice League films appeal to me more than Avengers.
