I only own Risk to complete my Megadeth collection. I probably listen to it once every 2-3 years. There's some good stuff on there, but there's also so many other good cds that I can be listening to. I think Megadeth strayed a little to far from their brand on this one.

Just revisited this album. If anything it's growing on me even more. The only songs that I really don't care for are Seven & Crush Em (anyone else noticed that this is actually a disco song? Unfortunately, it's a lousy disco song)

While I have gradually warmed up to a few of the tracks over the years since I bought it as a new release, overall, I think Risk is a terrible album. It should have never been released upon this earth.

Still better than St. Anger though.

Must be gettin' soft in my old age. I played this through a few times on the way home from work last night and again on the way in this morning and I have to admit it's not as terrible as I once thought.

It's certainly not gonna jetison it's way from the very bottom of the Megadeth pile, but there are some ok songs on there. The skip button is still necessary on a few tracks though, so for that fact, it's still gonna be relegated as MegaDave's worst album in an otherwise decent discography.

Favorite track from Risk is Prince of Darkness. It's actually a good song.
