"Death Race" (2008)
High tech update of the 70s classic "Death Race 2000" stars Jason Statham as an unjustly-jailed former race driver whose only avenue of escape from the prison of the future is through the Death Race, a no-holds-barred contest featuring heavily armored (and armed-to-the-teeth) cars that only one man can survive.
Nothin' fancy, just big, loud, dumb, action packed shoot'em up blow'em up entertainment. Mindless fun.

Charlie Wilson's War (2007) - excellent political comedy/drama from the writer of The West Wing. Quite the impressive cast including Tom Hanks, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Julia Roberts, Amy Adams and in small supporting roles Emily Blunt and Rachel Nichols.
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (2011 - David Fincher version) - Very entertaining film with beautiful production values, I figured out the mystery easily but that didn't take away from my enjoyment. I'd like to watch the original version sometime soon.

The other day I re-watched Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog, and since then I've watched a few episodes of Community (season 2) and 30 Rock (season 2).

Have you seen either of the two direct-to-DVD sequels by any chance? I dug this one, so I'm wondering if the follow ups are worth a look.
