No interest in seeing the Crue and Tommy's roller coaster drum kit? Ticket price aside, the other major reason I'm skipping this tour is cuz I don't want those ass monkeys in Motley Crue getting any of my money. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

I know, it's totally irrational, but I don't care. Therefore, my ideal Motley Crue set would be for them to come out on stage, play TOO FAST FOR LOVE and SHOUT AT THE DEVIL in their entireties, and then announce their retirement immediately thereafter. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

Yeah, that would be good!!!!! I feel the exact same way about Theatre - when it came out, I was no longer a Crue fan. I did like Dr. Feelgood and my opinion since Dr. Feelgood was released is that Motley Crue released three good albums (TFFL, SATD, DF) in 30 years time.

| KISS is my favorite band, Motley is a top 10 fave as well. I've seen KISS once and Motley twice and would still pay whatever ticket price they charged to see them again. They both put on great shows. Unfortunately, I'd have to drive 5 hours to Atlanta for the nearest show, plan gas money, hotel room, etc so I'm not doing it.
Nikki said they'll be playing a new song on the tour. It's called "Sex". Yep. He says it sounds raw (raw "Sex"?) like the first album and supposedly that's the direction they are taking with the album they're working on now.

I agree with you. There are definitely some over looked gems on Unmasked. Naked City and Easy As It Seems are GREAT songs.

I agree Paul doesn't sound great. I thought that surgery he had was supposed to fix his vocal problems. He seems kinda lethargic though... Doesn't seem to be into it. I wonder if he's sick. Where are they playing?

Where are they playing? They're playing in New Orleans’ Woldenberg Park. It's a free concert. Paul sounded good during the intro to Black Diamond, but that's about it. Whenever he starts shouting the lyrics (which is most of the time), his voice cracks.

| I can't disagree with either one of you, but if KISS did not do this set and added a bunch of new songs or deep cuts, had to trouble a number of their classics, alot of their fans would be disappointed. | |

| Paul always tries to downplay the need for setlist changes. He says it's only a vocal minority that wants to hear '80s stuff, Carnival of Souls or The Elder. He says most of that stuff would leave people scratching their heads but I don't agree. I agree with James, I think they'd be really surprised at the crowd's reaction if they actually did some of those songs.
I don't think someone just "likes" KISS. If you're a KISS fan, you're a die-hard. Die-hards want to hear it all. I don't think it's a case of laziness, if they were lazy they would have never even bothered releasing two new albums within 3 years time, I think it's a case of not being in touch with their audience.
On the Sonic Boom tour, they did 2 new songs (Modern Day Delilah & Say Yeah) and I think for awhile they even tried doing three but dropped it (When Lightning Strikes..?). In the mid '00s I think they made some changes to allow for more '80s material (such as Tears Are Falling) but since then they've gone back to the standard setlist they've had for the past 15 years or so.

| Speaking as a long time KISS fan, I too would love to see some change ups in the song selection. Throw in some Creatures, the Elder, Carnival Of Souls and Unmasked. I'd be more excited hearing that stuff than the same old same old.
Easier said than done,I guess. When you have that extensive a catalog it's rough to include everything and Some of those obscure songs they'd probably need to re-learn them !

| fans make a a lot of excuses and it doesnt matter if ure die hard or little lower fan. but enough is enough. every band from Judas to U2 or Accept or older neweer made setlist change every tour. KiSS didnt, thay strictly do same s**t every single tour wout any changes. (except if new album come out) and then same songs over and over again. i think the last change was in ROTN tour where thay did the last excellent playlist... after that ... everthing sux a lot.
im fan but cant stand it right now almost cant watch it. (whera are CotN, Revenge, PC or some songs that can be played live ?)
im sick of it. | |

| I think kiss are kinda like maiden in the respect that some people just go to hear the old material and if they play new stuff the fans dont like it. Its kinda a no-win situation. _________________ | |

Iron Maiden's newer material sounds a lot different from their old stuff, which is why some fans dislike it when they play new songs (not me). With KISS, their music hasn't really changed over the years. Sonic Boom sounds like the missing album between Love Gun and Creatures of the Night and I'm sure Monster will sound similar, so why wouldn't concert goers want to hear these songs live? KISS are so out of touch with their own fans, it's quite pathetic really.

| KISS should do what Priest did on their last tour, and that is play a song from every album. Of course, that was Priest's farewell tour, but still.
In fact it would be cool if they did what Maiden has done and sort of "re-create" a tour from the past. KISS could have a retro stage design and wear the retro costumes.
I personally wouldn't mind seeing the battle tank return.
