Could be cool, but the last 2 rock n' roll biographies I read (Slash and Joey Kramer's) left me a little cold. For fan-boys such as myself, they haven't revealed much that we didin't already know, albeit with maybe some more details.
Ace is a lovable f**k-up that crashes cars, writes killer riffs and was kicked out (or quit) KISS. This much we know. What more will he reveal?
These types of books are reviewed and editied by lawyers before they are released. And you know Gene isn't gonna let anything too shocking about KISS be exposed that hasn't already been revealed in other KISS books.
That being said, I'll probably still read it. Why not?

How can Ace write a biography? He can't even remember his original name!

Now that would be a shocking revelation!

That didn't stop Ozzy and Ace is 10x more coherant.

and about 100% more coherant then Keith Richards who is also working on his own book.

I'll be reading this book for sure. I read Gene's take on the Kiss Years. He was a bit harsh on Peter and Ace. I'm curious to read Ace's side of the story since I think his involvement with the band is much, much more than Gene will ever admit to.
And on a separate KISS note, my blue vinyl copy of Sonic Boom came in the mail yesterday!

I'll definitely read the Ace autobiography. It will be nice to hear his side of the story. G. G. Gebert, Bob McAdams, Wendy Moore, Paul and Gene, they've all told their Ace stories. Now it's his turn to tell his story. I hope he writes a genuinely good and accurate book that reveals more than what the KISS fanatic already knows.

Vinnie Vincent should have known better then take on the KISS INC:
Annie Youderian of the Courthouse News Service reports that former KISS guitarist Vincent John Cusano, a.k.a. Vinnie Vincent, lost his 6th Circuit appeal of an order barring him from seeking bankruptcy protection from paying more than $81,000 to his former band mates, whom he unsuccessfully sued for royalties in 1997. Cusano replaced lead guitarist Ace Frehley in 1982 and played with the band for two years. He departed on bad terms, and later claimed KISS members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley owed him royalties for his work on KISS' 1983 album "Lick It Up." However, a federal judge in Los Angeles ruled against him and awarded the KISS defendants about $66,400 in attorney's fees and $15,400 in costs.

Vinnie Vincent is like a moth endlessly beating itself senseless against a light bulb.
If only he'd put half as much effort into his playing/recording career as he has into suing KISS over the past 25+ years.

Maybe NOW he'll realize he could actually make a few bucks touring and/or putting out an album and will go do it. He's a great songwriter, the world's missing out right now.

What does everyone think of this updated version? I knew of its existence but I've actually never heard it until now. I think it's pretty good. Pointless, but good.

It was pointless, even the band thought it was pointless, but their record company thought it would help sell records to the fans that already had all the songs.

A brand new song would of been better (IMHO)
or even better than that... release the demo version that they put in the box set. That is my favorite version.... Ace got down on all thise original demos.
Anyways... some kewl photos in that clip.
