| Any time Judas Priest (or any band) make up words for the sake of making a line work. E.g., Rapid Fire: "Fast devastating and desolisating the curse" - What the hell does desolisating mean?! | |

| She's using her head again, I'm justa giving the dog a bone - AC/DC: Given the Dog a Bone Actually, that whole song makes me uncomfortable!
"I don't usually say things like this to girls your age, but when I saw you coming out of the school that day, that day I knew, I knew, I've got to have you, I've got to have you." - KISS: Christine Sixteen
This one is particularly cringe worthy on the rerecorded tracks on Kiss Klassics included with Sonic Boom. Back in the day, when Gene was in his 20s, it was a little weird. Singing it in his 50s (and now 60s), downright creepy!

Actually, that whole song makes me uncomfortable! I read an AC/DC interview years ago where Brian Johnson told a story about his Mother not understanding the lyrics to that song. He overheard her on the phone with a relative saying "Oh, my Brian just loves animals. He just wrote a song about a dog," and he he didn't have the heart to tell her. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| Unskinny Bop,,the whole song. After reading some of the awful sexual lyrics on this thread, lets hope the band members dont try to use them while picking up women! | |

| Was listening to the Tattooed Love Boys yesterday and the lyrics to Sweet Little Ragamuffin....
"See other kids said she was teacher's pet/But she was nobody's fool/ While we were home doing homework/ she got by without a scratch/ lifting up her skirt for teacher/ and showing off her sn*tch"
Also the German Warrant's "Nuns Have No Fun" is the first song I think of when thinking of cringe worthy lyrics.

| I'm surprised no one has mentioned 'Radikult' by Morbid Angel yet...
"'Cause we've been crossing the line since 1989 We're moving the world Because our power is a shining Sick groove with fvcking magic to prove that The radicals are here to stay!
We're living hardcore and radical We'll always be maniacal and animal They fear us cause we're physical irrational Our radi-killer kult is thriving!
Setting fire to everything we see Fill the rage inside the music... What will be Given reason then taken away Because the boundaries are coming down...
'Cause though we live And breathe we're like nasty machines Taking out targets and we do it with ease We've been called, We scream back never the same And we tear it up as radicals!
We're banging hardcore radical Maniacal and animal Beast stomping with an appetite insatiable We are the radikult..."

| There's this Croatian '80s metal band called Osmi Putnik that has a song called Glasno, glasnije, which starts with: "Imam uÅ¡i od betona, DuÅ¡u čopora..." Which translates to: "I've got ears of concrete, the soul of the pack..." | |

Goin' Blind - Kiss
Say WHAT?!!!!!!!
Also a really stupid one from Satyricon, from their song "Mother North":
"Sometimes in the dead of the night I mesmerize my soul"

| Weapons Of Our Warfare? Really? I find the lyrics almost straight from the bible. I guess that may be cheesy to non-believers but it's not like the song is about killing dragons or orcs or sex with loose women. | |

That's usually how I feel when it comes to christian metal. Bible verses as lyrics just sound cheesy and forced to my ears. Being atheist, I prefer secular music most of the time, but exceptions can be made for great musicianship or songwriting.

Cheesy lyrics go both ways. Even when I was religious I had to stay away from a few bands simply because the lyrics were just too "sunday school". On the other side of the spectrum, most of the whole black metal "HAIL SATAN" thing annoys me too. Hey buddy,D&D is my main hobby, I kill dragons and orcs every weekend!

Yeah, that's REALLY cheesy, beyond cheesy. And Barren Cross has their cheese moments - here's another one, Love At Full Volume. If I am not mistaken, he wrote it about a woman he later divorced: She was strange and so I loved her Her red hair a blaze of fire Boy, she melted all my wires She is mine I'm in love At full volume I believe She's the one for me She's the beauty queen of my dreams She's the star in all my movies She's the song that sings my feelings She is mine I'm in love At full volume I believe She's the one for me I recall the night we married Moved together me and my lady I enjoy her, Lord I loved her She is mine I'm in love At full volume I believe She's the one for me
