Has anyone mentioned or heard of these guys and gal...Christian Mistress? Read a review at Blabbermouth and it sounded interesting.
Has a NWOBHM feel to it. I'm kinda particular when it comes to female vocals, but this sounds pretty good to me.

Still learning tons of female fronted bands I didn't know about...A lot of good stuff. Really digging the Triosphere...
Here are a few on the lighter side.....
I don't recall Amaranthe being mentioned, but, it's a long thread I cold have missed it. Sorry if they were.

Yeah, that's bad-ass, dude! Looks like they're trying to raise some cash to release their debut demo, so I sent Locky an e-mail and told him to do it. Haha.

Love the music but not into the Angela style vox. Just not my thing.

I just bought the new album. Real good stuff; it's like a mix of Sabbath and NWOBHM. I like the retro guitar tone too. It's definitely worth a purchase.

I dig The Way of Purity. Iwrestledabearonce is not my thing, but the name cracks me up. Haha. The other two are too brutal for me.

Eh. I just don't dig the music. I don't care what anyone thinks about the stuff I listen to. I own a damn Savage Garden album! Or did. I think I traded it. Either way, I love one song by them, and the haters can lick it! Haha.
I love My Ruin. Manhole/Tura Satana as well. Hell, I have Tarrie B's horrible solo rap album. =)

From the ashes of Canvas Solaris:
Some more proggy stuff, this time from Spi-Ritual (kicks in about 2 minutes in). This album, Pulse, is fantastic:
This band's debut demo was such a Nightwish rip-off, it was good to hear them move (slightly) away from that on this album:
Here's some early 90s hardcore. Doughnuts, and all-girl band from Sweden. (Did I post these videos already?) They were very different for the time and style:

I was hanging with the music then the vocals ruined it. I'm super picky about my thrash vocals which doesn't explain why I like Mustaine.
Ken from Laser's Edge has been singing high praise for this album. I don't think I've ever disliked something he's recommended or released on his label, so I'm looking forward to this one even more now.
Nothing mind-blowing, though, which I guess is expected with this kind of music.
