What the hell happened to this band?
I don't have the album that video is from, but it would appear they've changed. Unfortunate.

I'm not familair with Black Stone Cherry. How have they changed? Going more main-stream or something?

Maybe that's just the single that sounds that way, but that first video sounds like modern radio rock. Nickelback, Daughtry, that sort of thing.

I think the second album by BSC went more Daughtry at times.

Witchcraft news:
Supposedly there will be a new album in late summer/early fall this year.
Magnus Pelander (vocalist/guitarist) also has a solo album coming out this year.

Just stumbled across these cats on YouTube.
A bit more modern than retro, but I dig it.

I like that Uncle Acid stuff MC recommended. I think I read a blurb about them in Classic Rock mag too, but that was the first time I heard the music. Sounds pretty cool to me.

Horisant from Sweden. Fans of Witchcraft and Graveyard should dig these guys. And also like Witchcraft, they have a couple songs sung in their native tongue. Nifty.
Covering UFO's 'Rock Bottom' live...
Must be big UFO fans. This sounds suspiciously like 'Doctor, Doctor'
I think they have 2 full albums out with a 3rd on the way.

No problem fellas. Glad to oblidge.
I may be mistaken on the number of albums they've released. It might just be 2. Right now they are pricey imports, but I think they are getting a US release through Rise Above Records in May.
I was lucky enough to score a copy of their debut, TvÄ Sidor Av Horisonten on ebay the other day for $9.99.
Haven't received it yet, but looking forward to it.
And this is the new one...

My Horisont album arrived today. Good stuff.
Anyhow, it's on the Crusher Records label from Sweden. I checked them out for sh*ts & giggles. Looks like they have some other quality retro bands on their rosters. Check 'em out if you want...

Dead Man is one of my favorite Swedish retro bands, also on Crusher.

These guys sound promising...Monster Truck
Looks like they only have a 5 song ep out so far. The singer reminds me of someone, but I can't put my finger on it yet.

He's got that tone that a few of the retro bands have which almost sounds like someone that I can't quite place.

I have their First and Second EPs, plus a split EP with Unpersons called A Grey Sigh In A Flower Husk. Those are some pretty doom-sludgy releases. I really dig 'em, but have never been super-compelled to buy the Red and Blue albums. At least not for full price.
That video above has changed my mind a bit. That track is from their upcoming Yellow & Green double album. Sounds like they've gone down a more retro rock/stoner rock path. When did that start? Anyone know?
