New Freedom Hawk album is out! These dude are pretty bad-ass. Their debut, Sunlight, was a $5 gem over at CD Baby (sold out now). They play a kind of heavy 70s rock style, kind of Sabbath-y at times, similar to bands like Spiritual Beggars.
New album is called Holding On, but all three are worth checking out. Here are some samples:
I have the new Freedom Hawk and it so heavy and awesome this band is so much better than Ghost ever could be!

Why compare, though? They're nothing alike.
Because I can say that, that's why!

Yes, yes you can. Makes for quality conversation, too.

This bag of Granny Smith apples I bought this morning is so much better than that bag of oranges I bought last weekend could ever be.

Electric Earth.
Recently discovered these cats through CD Baby's $5 section. Wicked stuff here!
The upload doesn't sound so hot (the album sounds much better), but this is all YouTube has to offer. And this isn't even the best song on the album!

Check out this new Burning Saviours track. I was bummed when they broke up, but they've gotten back together and are about to release a new EP, their second since reforming. This track is from it:
And this the previous EP (both songs), which is part 1 of 2:
These cats are brilliant!

Sunlight is awesome. Been spinning it all week. Lotsa doomy goodness. I'll be investing in some more of them fer sure.
Burning Saviors sounds cool too, but their albums are outta my price range.

Yeah, the Burning Saviours stuff is expensive. I did see Hundus, I think, somewhere recently and it was cheap.
I still need to get the latest Freedom Hawk. The first two rip!

Yeah, Lord Baltimore was bad-ass! Is bad-ass, I guess. Can we call them retro? Haha.
Either way, a very underrated band from that era.

I'm definitely a fan of several bands in the retro movement, though at the end of the day I always return to the original artists that inspired them.
