ok here goes... I have at one time owned 2 AQUA albums. Yea thats right the group that did the Barbie Girl song. Why? because that damn song got stuck in my head and it actually grew on me and to be honest the rest of the album wasn't really that bad. I still have those cds but they are in a box waiting for someone to take them from me for trading. I recently tried to listen to it and I have no idea what I was thinking. It's not as good as I thought. LOL!
My current guilty pleasures are
Shiny Toy Guns. Ever since someone posted a video of theirs on this site I haven't stopped listening to them.
Pulp The Killers Genesis Peter Gabriel Andrew W K
I'm sure I have a few more I can't think of at the moment.
I like some punk/crust bands like: GBH THE EXPLOITED CHAOS UK BLACK UNIFORMS DISCHARGE AMEBIX MISFITS TAMPERE SS CRUDE SS but they all have a lot of metalic sound in their music.
ok I do not consider Alanis, Hall and Oates, Venom without Cronos, Phil Collins, Genesis, Peter Gabriel, Nektar, YES, even the late Keith Green are all solid artist IMO.
Now a real guilty pleasure would be Madonna and Katy Perry, and yes I am guilty of liking them both.

Those would be true guilty pleasures...
I'm a big fan of early Madonna. I love her material from the 80's, but like a lot of pop stuff from the 90's, I kind of lost interest in her post '94. I was also a fan of Mr. Manilow's stuff circa 70's. If you were a metal fan and you admitted liking this stuff back in the day, you might get your ass kicked.
Richard Marx Bryan Adams Roxxette Belinda Carlisle The Cars Men At Work
What can I say? I'm a child of the 80s.
Yeah, I enjoy some of all those you listed. I don't own any specific albums by them, but do own some songs on some 80's comps.
I only have albums from some of the artists I listed, the rest (the 80s pop bands) I have various songs from but would buy albums from a lot of these bands if found cheap. Marx, Adams, and 80s Chicago are different, because I'm such an AOR nut.
