Cheesy Pleasures

In the realm of metal, what band(s) do you enjoy that maybe wouldn't be seen as necessarily a band that you should be proud of? A guilty pleasure, if you will.

One of my guilty pleasures is Ancient. I love them in all their Gothic-ish-Black-Whatever Metal cheesy glory. I could listen to them all day everyday. I mean, it doesn't get much cheesier than having a member of your band named Jesus Christ.

Geez, I think most of the 80's glam-metal would pretty much fall into the cheese category. But my Enuff Z'nuff and Cinderella cd's get just as much spin as Megadeth and Overkill.

APRIL WINE and REO SPEEDWAGON. its not very cool for a metalhead to be a die hard fan of those bands lol, and i am.

For metal:

I love cheezy hair metal:
Twisted sister
ratt
winger
warrant
poison
cinderella
bon jovi (old stuff)
white lion
Etc

For non metal:

I love the all american rejects and alkaline trio.

CHEESY PLEASURES is the name of my entire cd collection practically......

I have all of the Mr Bungle disc, listen to them often.

I've collected everything from the Pomprock & AOR eras. Styx, Magnum, Blackjack, Grand Prix, Loverboy, you name it.
But the worst things I have are probably the Osmonds two "Hard Rock" albums "Crazy Horses" and "The Plan" from about 1972.

I'll admit to seeing Bon Jovi 3 times and owning most of their catalog. I got into them when I was ten and every now and then I throw a cd in the player and "Let it rock, let it roll..."

definitely Stryper & Immortal.. the two cheesiest of them all!

Billy Idol and Pat Benatar. I'm not ashamed of liking them i listed them because others might consider them cheesy.

Count me in on the Pat Benatar fan club. I've had a crush on her since I first saw her on MTV when I was 11 years old. She's aged well too!

Most of the "hair metal" bands but also Night Ranger, Europe, and other pop metal bands who did not wear the make-up and hair spray. Even though I never heard of them before 2001, there is Running Wild with their pirate image. Let me just sum it up like this: I like cheese and I'm not afraid to admit it so there!!!
