Saw Red last night. Not a modern classic by any means, but I enjoyed it quite a bit. John Malkovich's role wat great, haha.

Add that one to the list of Movies Everyone But Toho Has Seen.
I'm just really picky about comedies and everything I've seen of Major League didn't seem to be my cup of tea.

I got that one on DVD from the dollar store about a year ago. Pretty damn decent "Alien" ripoff.

Dr. Terror's House Of Horrors (Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, Donald Sutherland).
The first of these British anthology flicks I saw as a child and probably still my favorite. Easily the best connecting story from this series of films. The episode with Christopher Lee is a classic.

One of the most amazingly bizarre Italian horror flicks in recent memory (and that's a tall order). Great experiment in humorous-surreal horror.

Schlock-Tober continues with... "Maniac Cop 2"
Crazed cop Matt Cordell returns from the "dead" to terrorize New York City for a second go-round, and this time he's got a "partner" -- a serial killer who specializes in prostitutes. This one's the best of the "MC" series in my book. Sleazy, violent, gory, and action packed. Great little B-flick.

I only know this because some drama club put on the play when I was in college. More useless knowledge I gathered while there.

Last night's Schlock-Tober Craptacular feature...
"Waxwork" - silly '80s horror comedy about a gang of spoiled rich California brats who visit a creepy wax museum, only to become part of the displays one by one. Havent' seen this one in years. I didn't remember it being as goofy/comedic as it was, but it had plenty of cool old-school creatures/monster effects and some decent dollops of gore. Perfect Schlock-Tober entertainment.
