Oh and Skid Row (the 80's-90's Skid Row, not the one from the '70's), Poison, Trixter and Warrant all suck.

I like some dm but this just beyond terrible. Not only is the music bad but it sounds like it was recorded on one of those fisher price recorders.

I actually like that. But I understand totally where you are coming from.

I was thinking of listing bands... but I don't actually hate any. Any band that has at least one fan has a place in this world.

So having said that, it is human nature not to like everything equally and I do dislike a lot of bands. But I can probably list them without mentioning names:

Any pretentious progressive metal band writing dull songs. Complex is not automatically good. More often than not it's just pretentious shite.

Any neo-classic power metal band recycling each others material trying to write epic songs. Please come up with proper melodies and riffs, THEN release a full length album. Being able to play fast and hit high notes is only good for band practise.

Any extreme metal band that thinks any bad, repetitive composition can work if you play it evil and noisy enough.

Any band that doesn't respect their fans.

Any band that isn't all they think they are. By this I mean bands that come from a scene of hundreds of similar sounding bands, who by stroke of luck/good management/miracle make it instead of another equally talented/talentless band. Yes, you have a hit record, awesome. Your smurf poo still stinks. Remember where you came from.

Poison and Skid Row are both decent bands, their music is fun and listenable which is more than can be said for a lot of the stuff already mentioned.

In all seriousness there is alot of bands I dislike such as the Eagles, Styx, and others mentioned but I cannot deny their talent or their influence. In the case of Styx and the Eagles that would be silly considering how many years they have been around and how long they have been able to hold on their popularity.

These "crunkcore" bands, for making kids stupid and thinking that the world owes them something.

Avenged Sevenfold (They are talented musicians, not talented songwriters)

A lot of the emo bands as well.
