| Any Tesla fans out there? I love this band. The singer sounds a lot like Steven Tyler and the guitar sounds are average. They have a gritty sound, though, and their lyrics are so real. They express hopeful views about love and relationships that are so refreshing from a hard rock band. If they had more kick ass guitar solos, they'd be one of my favorite bands. | |

Interesting comment about the guitar solos. Frankie and Tommy are both exceptional players. I don't know if you are just refering to the new cd or twenty years ago ? Too each thier own I suppose.

| They are definitely good players. I love their sound, just wish they had shredded it up a little more. I'm a huge fan of Yngwie and M.S.G. I'm referring to classic Tesla, though. For some reason, I've always wanted to hear Yngwie cover some classic Tesla. Yngwie did an all covers album in '96 where he gave his own twist to some of his favorite classic rock tunes. I love what Yngwie did with Carry On My Wayward Son on this album. I'd like to hear Yngwie cover "No Way In, No Way Out" and, yes, "Little Suzie". I didn't even know Tesla had a new album out. Is it really good? Do Frankie and Tommy shred it up? | |

I didn't even know Tesla had a new album out. Is it really good? Do Frankie and Tommy shred it up? Tommy is gone again. Tesla did a two seprate disc of covers called Real to Reel of 70's rock tunes. check it out. Frankie rips on UFO's " Rock Bottom " It is arranged like the live version from "Strangers" Frankie and Tommy don't play like Yngwie that's for sure.

Right. Just listen to the solo work in "Don't De-Rock Me." It's brilliant! |

| Been a Tesla fan since they came out. I have never, ever been disappointed with anything these guys have put out. I recently picked up Replugged Live to complete my Tesla collection, and both of those guys truly rock on that album. Peace. | |

| Which albums do you guys have? I've got an extended versions live album that has tunes from all of their other albums. I've also got "The Great Radio Controversy". Used to have "Five Man Acoustical Jam" on cassette back when it first came out. I really liked "Sign, Sign" in the original form with Five Man Electrical Band when I was a teen, so the new Tesla version caught my ear right away when it came out. | |

Wish they'd play somewhere near or in Ohio on the tour. Can't blame 'em for avoiding the midwest this time of year, though, especially this winter. Free tickets rule!!!

| Tesla and Frank Hannon play New Mexico lots, they are going to be at Route 66 Casino in mid March. Have tickets to see them again, this will be like the 8th or 9th time since seeing them on the MR tour opening for Alice Cooper in the spring of 87. Always a good show. Their new guitar player, Dave Rude does a great job in the band too. | |

All except A Peace Of Time. I just haven't picked it up yet. I listened to RePlugged Live last night and next up is Standing Room Only on my player. It's a shortened version of RePlugged.

| I listened to Tesla's Great Radio Controversy yesterday and enjoyed it alot, blue collar metal and then re read Ult's review of the album, I have to agree with his comment, how in the hell did these guys get labeled hair metal? Like ULT states they have very little in common with Warrent, Poison and any of those other bands you care to name, they were a down to earth (image wise) band that delievered on vinyl and stage. A great band unfairly labeled. | |

| I'd really like to know where the "hair metal" tag came from anyway. I never heard that until sometime in the 90's. We always called it "pop metal" back in the 80's. |
