I've never heard the Rush acronym before; but I have heard the Kiss, Wasp, and AC/DC ones, though.

A lot of people mistake the cover art of Priest's Sad Wings of Destiny. They think it's an Angel in Hell, but it is really a painting of the Greek God, Prometheus. I believe it is called "Prometheus Unbound" or something like that. It's one of the Origin Myths.

Actually it would be kinda cool if some of the myths were true... i remember being afraid of Gene Simmons as a child because i actually thought he was a real monster. Some of those guys seemed bigger than life back then before the makeup and mysteriousness was taken away.

I thought that too, but then I watched Family Jewels and found out that he's not a monster, he's just an sfincter!

Ted Nugent's father was supposed to be Mister Green Jeans from the Captain Kangaroo show. That one originated from a Frank Zappa lyric, but how it fixed on Nuge is anybody's guess.

Back in the 70's when KISS was at the height of their mysterious ways and seemingly magical "powers", to a young kid such as myself, they were comic book superheroes like Superman or Batman except they were "real".

Besides, it's an urban legend. He could have been on a radio station in
Siberia for all we know.

Anyone ever hear that the name Alice Cooper was a real person (female) that was one of the witches burned at the stake during the Salem Witch Hunt? I believe Frank Zappa had something to do with the naming of the band, telling the members to just call the band Alice Cooper, and eventually Vincent just adopted the name Alice Cooper for himself. But was there a real Alice Cooper?
