This might mark the end of King's X. I can't imagine they'd carry on without him behind the kit.

Even if he gets better...there is a chance he may be advised to not stress his heart (ie, play drums).
King Fowley was told to not play drums extensively anymore, and he did not have a heart attack...he had blood clots.

I agree, I highly doubt they would continue without Jerry. It's not just a band replacing "a drummer", Jerry's backing vocals are core to the sound of the band.
I'm guessing they would take the high road like Zeppelin did, or like RUSH did when tragedies struck Neil Peart. They would not have continued unless Neil came back.

It's always been just those 3 guys (Ty, Doug and Jerry) right?

They were a 4-piece early in their career (1982 or so), but they dropped the second guitarist.

Update from Dug on his facebook page:
Jerry is still sedated and on ventilator. "its a slow process the Dr. says, and he's moving in the right direction". He also has pneumonia in both lungs.
That doesn't sound good, I'm hoping for the best.

Yeah, doesn't sound good at all.
Then again, I have no frame of reference for this sort of thing. So maybe it's a normal process, I don't know.

I think they were a different band then...the "King's X" named entity has always just been the 3 of them.

Yeah, even as Sneak Preview they were a three-piece, so if there was ever a fourth guitarist it was long before King's X.

That was probably The Edge...the band name...not the 4th member.

"things are the same, sedated and on ventelator., but, he has developed another lung problem along with the pneumonia. So they are going to do a trakiatamy on him to make it easier for him to breathe."

looks like it could be congestive heart failure on topof everything else. What a bummer.

Click!
I know it's a digital thing and people dislike those, but it's $20 to help a class act. Not much to ask for. If you get the Error 500 - Internal Server Error message, just refresh the page until it loads. Hopefully they're getting that error because the server is overloaded with buyers.

Here's a nice little treat Doug posted today:

Just a reminder that, whether you believe it or not, King's X is the greatest band on the planet.

Dug has a new album coming out, too. It's called Naked.
