When Nixon took us off the gold standard was also a major mistake for the monetary system. Printing a bunch of paper money that has nothing substantial to back it up. Now they claim we have a coin shortage.

That was the beginning of the bankers being given the power. All the countries bombed out during WW2 had regained manufacturing capabilities and the USA didn't have the monopoly, and USA banks were no longer making big money on loans to those foreign borrowers. We elect people to Congress, the Senate, and a President/VP, but the appointment to run the Federal Reserve has the real power. Research it, I was amazed.

IMHO, the coin shortage is a ploy to get the poor to have even less They occasionally manipulate silver & good prices so the poor well off. Also if a bank has possession of $ electronically for even a half a second, they profit from it. Imagine money saved from not having to move it from business to bank on weekly basis. Imagine the government using the resources making & destroying hard currency for the benefit of themselves? Imagine how much easy it would be to control a population with no hard currency? Just think of the worth of the info/data gleaned when you use your phone to buy everything, I can see the news headline... "The manufacturing of hard currency contributes to climate change" and boom Laughing very hard

What I find funniest of all is the fact that you somehow think Trump is the antithesis to corruption, incompetence, greed, arrogance and whatever else you see to be flawed about your government.

The GOP cares only about power and has absolutely no morals or integrity - just see how they're treating the issue of appointing a new SCOTUS - back in 2016, it was all about "letting the people decide" and not having a new appointed until after the election. Now, oh, golly gee, they're saying the exact opposite. Pathetic. Not that the Democrats are much better, they're mostly Republican light.

I can't conflate whatever valid points you and Troublezone may have with the candidate you support. They're aversive to each other, completely irreconcilable. The idea that Trump has "got more done than any other president" is ludicrous. What exactly has he done? Other than handing out some executive orders, completely failing on building a useless and ridiculous wall (not to mention using emergency relief funds, among other shady things), detaining and destroying migrant families, letting children die in custody and screwed over farmers with his trade war, what exactly has he done? Where are all those coal-mining jobs he promised? The fact that a person can speak with such a lack of eloquence and so vaguely, with no evidence or comprehensive analysis to back any of it up, and still win people's support, is mindboggling to me. There's no excuse now, one can't claim ignorance at this point. If you still support this clown who doesn't believe in democracy, well, you're either in denial, misinformed or deeply un-American. Potentially all three.

Yeah, unemployment is at a low, but how is that his doing? Plus, it's very misleading, as many of those jobs are part-time, and it still doesn't address the fact that millions of Americans can't make ends meet even with two full-time jobs. None of the perceived positives about the economy is in any way due to Trump's (in)actions. The stock market means jack shit to the American people, it doesn't reflect the quality of life of the population at all.

Well in case you haven’t noticed, 2016 was not nearly as chaotic as the current state of affairs. There was still a resemblance of normalcy in Washington. But now with the suspiciously false flag blame being put on Trump for the elaborately planned (China lab created) pandemic and the nonstop media fueled and cherry picked police related deaths that set the stage for civil rights protests and riots (conveniently during election year), it’s like a perfect storm of orchestrated deception directed at the guy you think is the only bad guy. You really think Trump is worse than the “powers that be”? Believe me, I know Trump has lots of flaws, but the Democrats are actually the ones that have done more damage to this country. They keep the broken welfare system going that discourages minorities from bettering their lives. Just keep them down and poor. Only those who are truly focused and driven escape. Imo , both political parties are terribly flawed. I’m against the two party system! I think of myself as an Independent.

Don't recall saying Trump being an antithesis to anything. He is trying to drain the swamp that is Washington D.C. and getting lots of opposition from both parties. Look at all the B.S done by career politicians to create scandal & get him out of office. They tried to impeach him for something that Biden is on video admitting to doing regarding a loan to Ukraine while he was V.P. Then you have the Obama administration/FBI thing. Lots of stuff there.

Hypocrisy and/or lying in Washington is a given, they pretty much all say one thing in a certain situation/to certain groups/to certain people... it's called politics. It is the Constitutional Duty of the President to select a justice nominee and the Senate to vet and approve. PERIOD

RGB worked for the USSC not Make A Wish Foundation. Research her own words regarding the Presidents duties encompassing all 4 years, not 3 or 3 1/2, not to mention her position on keeping the number of Justices at 9.

She was given the opportunity to retire and have Obama till the vacancy, but declined cause she wanted a female President to replace her, assuming Hilary would win. This playing politics and losing.

You didn't mention the record rise in employment for blacks and other minorities. People working is ALWAYS better than sucking off the Government teat. That refutes the narrative of Trump being racist. Hell Kamala Harris called Biden a racist during the debates and said she believed Tara Reid, yet endorsed him before eventually accepting the VP nomination.... An exemplary exhibition of politics like I mentioned above.

I was pissed when Trump signed the Cares Act, as well as subsequent relief bills. He isn't a typical politician much less a career one. He speaks his mind and you know where he stands. That means something to me. Do I agree with everything he says or does? Nope.

You're just plain wrong about Donald Trump. I can't convince you otherwise, but fine. Believe what you want, the guy is as corrupt as he is incompetent. He's not draining the swamp, he is the swamp.

I can't really comment much about that long list of supposed accomplishments - handing out executive orders doesn't really do much if there isn't any follow-through. The fact remains, for example on Covid, that the United States has 4% of the world's population, yet 25% of the world's corona-related deaths.

By the way, I'm not offended at all about people calling it the "WuFlu", it just suggests to me to be that person's attempt at casting the blame at the country of origin as a result of their president's unprecedentedly poor handling of the virus. It's not China's fault you're in the mess that you're in. It's the fault of your incompetent government and the actions of ignorant people.

Trump is on tape acknowledging he knew about the virus back in February, and how deadly it was, yet he chose not only to stand idly by, but actively denying and denigrating its effects, severely worsening the problem, since there are still (unfortunately) millions of people who actually listen to him. The republican party only cares about lowering taxes (primarily for the rich) and keeping the stock market in check, completely disregarding human lives. Believe otherwise, but that's what I take from statements and actions. Not to mention the active attempts at voter suppression going on in some republican-governed states (fake ballot boxes, the removal of most places one can cast one's vote).

That's not even touching on all the other issues affecting the average American that have only become worse, or at the very least not bettered, with Trump (and republicans in general) in office.

Anyway, this will be my last post. Cheers

Cheers

Yeah... the career politicians are not corrupt! Laughing very hard

You can’t comment on his accomplishments... that’s because you can’t accept it.

Why don’t you do some research on the Clinton’s, Obama and the Biden’s (Joe and his son Hunter). Be honest with yourself! Take off the blinders dude.

I would have more respect if you just said everyone is terrible. But all you do is slander Trump. You have a one way mind and that’s it! You willfully turn a blind eye to everything the Dems have done.

It’s not China’s fault??   insane

They allowed the virus to spread beyond their borders after knowing about it long beforehand. It was literally created in a lab there! And you blame Trump?

Did you know each state’s governor has the power to mandate their own rules and laws in their state? In other words... they don’t necessarily take orders from Trump. The California governor Gavin Newscum does whatever he wants! Same with the incompetent far left mayors of Portland and Seattle. They literally stood by and allowed the rioters to destroy the cities. They rejected Trump’s offer to help bring order with the national guard. The cops were useless.

Damn it, it turned out not to be my last post.

I've said before, that corruption is a massive problem in American politics, in both major parties. Trump is not so much the problem as a symptom/result of a larger one. I think I've mentioned campaign financing/political donation as the core problem several times now.

You can blame China for their handling of the virus, sure. Don't know about it being created in a lab, I heard it came from bats. In any case, it doesn't really matter. Once it has spread, it's up to the affected nations to do whatever they can to curb it. While Europe is experiencing a resurgence of the virus at the moment, we're still doing (Denmark being among the top nations) much better than the US. I get that the US is complicated politically, as it is a massive federal republic. But Trump has done absolutely nothing to rectify the situation, he's only made it worse. His actions are completely irresponsible.

I honestly didn't take the time to read your whole list, but one thing I have come to notice, is that there's usually a dark side to every supposedly good thing this man (or the Republicans/corporate Democrats in general) does. Like the promise to lower prescription drug prices - if you listen to the wording, it basically gives the large pharmaceutical companies the chance to cop out. His visits and talks in North Korea is nothing but theatre - what was actually accomplished? Nothing. Only vague promises of "striving for de-nuclearisation" - since then, they've merely continued with their program.

In any case, I just can't see how anyone could watch more than a few clips of the man and think, "that's my guy". I guess people vote more from a sense of identity than pragmatism. However, there is a reason for his unprecedented unpopularity and the fact that he's losing massively in the poles, with a 40+ point lead to Biden in the midwestern swing states.

What exactly do you think he stands for, or has done, that causes you to support him? Because I'm telling you, whatever he promises, you're not getting. Remember all those talking points about keeping jobs in in the States? Turns out he's given substantially more federal support to companies who outsource their labor than to the ones that don't. Whoops. His policies are literally sending jobs overseas - not saying that wasn't happening before, but that was one of his big themes that was completely betrayed. All the talk about illegal immigrants "stealing" American jobs? (I'm so sick of this argument - they take the jobs nobody else wants and are massively important to the economy of states like California, all while not being eligible for any benefits) - turns out he's completely fine with having them work for dirt at Mar-A-Lago. Those types of discrepancies are just a drop in the ocean, though.

And what exactly are you afraid of in terms of a Biden/Democratic presidency? What do you think will happen that will affect you negatively? And how exactly have your lives improved with a Trump presidency?

I agree that Joe Biden is the worst candidate the Democrats could have put out there. He's not winning because of who he is, he's winning in spite of it - that's how terrible Trump is.

Covid is a virus and a virus infects people, right?

First it was the "experts" saying millions are going to die in the US if we did "everything correct", right?

When that didn't happen, the media narrative switched from deaths to cases, right?

Then you had censorship of anything/everything by corporate media and tech platforms that was against the fear mongering agenda being propagated by political factions to control the populace, regardless of the source being scientific or medical in profession, right?

Regardless if you were to "not agree" that everything stated above is truth one fact remains. Civic cases are increasing, but you still have a 99% chance of survival unless you are over 70 or have a comorbidity.

In the U S, the state's with the most deaths are those with Democrat governors. Their policies were the cause of the high numbers. From isolating the healthy to prevent here immunity, putting infected elderly persons into nursing homes with those more susceptible of dying from Covid, to mandating masks, which in fact cause an individual to breathe in their own carbon monoxide that has an effect on the way a body's immune system functions as well as it not being a sufficient filter to prohibit the passing of the virus due to it's small micron size.

Something to pknder, Governor Gavin Newsome of California, imposed a mandate regarding masks for Covid, then came out during recent fires and said same masks will not protect you from breathing in harmful smoke and ash caused by fires. WTF
Just look at objectively

I can't really comment much about that long list of supposed accomplishments - handing out executive orders doesn't really do much if there isn't any follow-through. The fact remains, for example on Covid, that the United States has 4% of the world's population, yet 25% of the world's corona-related deaths.

By the way, I'm not offended at all about people calling it the "WuFlu", it just suggests to me to be that person's attempt at casting the blame at the country of origin as a result of their president's unprecedentedly poor handling of the virus. Biden has been in public office for almost 50 years and now he is talking about fixing things? He has spent decades in power during his Senate career and has held one of the highest offices in the country and has not accomplished the change he now supports. What is the definition of insanity?

What do I have against a Biden presidency?

Look how they stood by and allowed (almost encouraged) the violent protests in all the Democrat dominated cities. It’s been said that Biden will raise the taxes dramatically. Biden’s mind is failing, which means he’s incompetent to lead. His running mate is a far left nightmare. Biden has many ties to China and is most likely on payroll. There are many reasons!

What new wars have we been in with Trump? You discount his negotiations with foreign leaders, but you would probably praise Obama with his submissive “theater” act AKA ass kissing.

From the Biden Campaign wbsite.....

Under gun safety agenda/policy plan

1- ban on ALL online sales of firearms, ammunition, gun parts gun accessories, and gun kits.

2- civil and criminal liability for adults allowing minors access to firearm even if minor never possess firearm.

3- prohibiting of purchase and/or license of firearm if individual has been convicted of a misdemeanor hate crime.

Look up what a misdemeanor hate crime is, varied from state to state. Examples are saying a derogatory term to protecting your vehicle thus person/family from being damaged/attacked and you drive away injuring the attacker(s) who/whom are of another race.

The constitution should block any and all attempts to violate our guaranteed rights as citizens. The actions of a few (criminals etc...) shouldn’t reflect on everyone else.

I don't know? The Patriot Act is a good example of allowing government to take constitutional rights in whole and in part for the sake of being/feeling safe.

Item 2 above is means to criminalize non criminal behavior to confiscate firearms that still leaves others with a right to bare arms.

Items 1 and 3 also still leave others with 2nd Amendment rights, they are just means to restrict access and broken the scope of legislated loss of individual rights.

It’s pretty low to use the recent attention of Eddie’s passing and redirect it for a political campaign. Van Halen as a band stayed away from politics and would never endorse or cause division with their fans like those two morons Sebastian Bach and Dee Snider. They have been so obnoxious with their opinions and have even insulted their own fans that don’t agree with them. They are completely intolerant. Everything the old school liberals used to preach against. Now they are fascist.

If that is the case? Congratulations to Biden and it will p off Hilary that she won't be the first woman President cause Harris will soon have that honor (IMHO)

It’s funny how Pennsylvania, a state that the Dems so badly need is having such difficulties with their counting. While most other states including California which has a much bigger population have finished their tallies. How convenient...
