I was listening to the S/T the other day in the car. Not bad. I think "Condition Human" is a bit better, though I always have the feeling that this is what they should have been sounding like in the 2000's instead of the boring shit they put out on Tribe, Soldier, and Chaos.

I also like "Dark Reverie" on first listen. I'm finally starting to warm up to this era of Queensryche. I will probably go see them with Fates Warning open in March.

The self-titled is very good, but Condition Human is better. The songs are just stronger, more cohesive. And of course it's not brickwalled, so it's sounds better.

But yeah, both are solid albums, way better than anything from Tribe on.

I need to get their S/T album. No clue why i have been delaying purchasing this one.

Yeah. I gotta get off my ass and get some tix to the Worcester show at the DCU before it's too late.

I hope nobody here has pre-ordered the new Queensryche thru Pledge Music, cuz they're in a world of shit right now and it looks like almost all of the current Pledge projects are being cancelled.

We are not alone in this matter, as it has been publicly made aware that many other artists have been affected as well.

We are truly sorry for this and any inconvenience this causes, but please do understand this is all out of our control, and as we said before, the Pledge folks lied and lied while they mismanaged the monies of the company.

It's fine and dandy when it works if that's your thing, but something like this could really damage the trust folks have in the system. Someone at PlegeMusic knows where that money is.

From the article MG linked, it sounds like Pledge was using the classic pyramid scam setup.

I did finally buy a ticket to see them with Fates Warning next month. I prefer to support bands by going to their shows and buying merch rather than through these sketchy fundraiser campaigns.

Anyone know what's happening with this? Is the album still coming out on March 1st? The band just released a new song, "Blood of the Levant," which sounds fantastic.

I dig the song, but is the first Todd-ryche song that I felt didn't really have any connection to any era of the band. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I wouldn't be surprised if Todd wrote the whole song.

I was in my local shop earlier this afternoon and she mentioned something about Pledgemusic, but didn't elaborate. This sucks. But, like Dark Horseman said, it reaffirms why I don't do crowd funding or kickstarters either.

Song has a heavier power metal kind of sound along the lines of maybe older Kamelot.

I couldn't listen to the song. Says the video is unavailable.

Honestly, I think that track is badass. If that's Todd's work, dude's got craft.

He can write a good tune. Before joining QR, he had a bunch of originals on his YouTube channel. Many of them kicked ass. He took them down when he joined the band, though, which I always assumed was because the band used bits of them or maybe entire songs. I never listened enough to be able to recognize them, though.

That Crimson Glory song he did with them was easily one of the worst songs they've ever done, and he was so proud of it.
