- Todd LaTorre sez on his official FB today that Condition Human sold around 13,500 copies in its first week of release. If memory serves, that's about the same as the previous record.
No word on the first-week figures for Operation TateDork's The Key yet but I'm fairly sure that it was... considerably less than that.
Edit: according to Blabbermouth, The Key sold about 2500 in its first week. Condition Human is Number 16 on this chart from 10/09/15(10,449 at that time): http://hitsdailydouble.com/building_album_chart #27 here (14,000): Blabbermouth

| In today's musical landscape, 13,500 is pretty darn good right? | |

| Operation: Mindcrime, The Key (Frontiers) #122, 2,475 sold
Metal Insider
The week after, Operation: Mindcrime, The Key (Frontiers) 580 sold
A 77% drop in week two. We’ll see how Queensryche does next week.

| Numbers look good! Metal By Numbers 10/14/15 - Quote :
- Queensrÿche, Condition Human (Century Media) #27, 13,800 sold
Two weeks following Operation: Mindcrime’s new album, the Geoff Tate-less version of Queensrÿche (or the non Operation: Mindcrime version, if you will) release their new album that debuts about on par with 2013’s self-titled effort. No more numbers for Tate. Must have sold REALLY low the third week.

Yeah, that's a respectable number for a metal release in 2015. By comparison Slayer sold 49,000 (US only) in the first week release of Repentless and Iron Maiden sold 75,000 (US only) of Book of Souls in the first week. |

| Well, I think Armored Saint sold 4000 copies of Win Hands Down the first week of release, so QR is actually doing more numbers than I anticipated...especially considering all the drama of the past 20 years. |

| Man, looking at these numbers, for everybody, the Platinum selling days of the 80's seem like a million years ago. | |

Well, those days actually peaked in the mid-90s but yes, you are correct. Consumer-priced CD burners, the internet and the introduction of small .mp3 files hitting the mainstream at the same time ended those days forever. |

http://hub.me/ajS1u Nice review Yea, cool! +1. Great write-up and I share the same opinion of the album. Although I haven't purchased the CD to know what the liner notes are like (I do hate it when bands do that, however).

| Had to laugh 😆
Just opened an email and seen this:
OPERATION: MINDCRIME live in London
By way of saying thanks for being fans of the music of Geoff Tate and Queensryche, we are holding a flash sale on what we believe is one of the best rock shows of 2015. Geoff Tate's "Operation Mindcrime" play the The Underword on Saturday 12th December 2015 and will feature Simon Wright on Drums (AC/DC, Dio), John Moyer on Bass (Disturbed), Kelly Gray & Randy Gane (ex Queensryche). The band will perform the whole 1988 release "Operation Mindcrime" plus classics from Geoff's career.
Flash Sale Ticket Price - £15.00 (was £22.50)
The venue is the Camden underworld. Probably the smallest venue in London. Holds no more than a couple of hundred max. Tickets have been on sale ages. By way of saying thanks my arse! It's about time the vest realised he's got no credability anymore.
In light of the whole court case fiasco he should have disappeared completely for a year, let everything die down then try a comeback and not with the ridiculous use of operation mindcrime as a band name.
The guys washed up and finished. Even blaze bayley could pack the underworld and mostly plays in pubs around Europe these days.

That's funny but not surprised, the vest pretty much ruined his reputation in the metal world and as more YouTube clips pop up his band is exposed for being a fraud and unable to play the songs properly which equals small clubs that he can't sell out. Blaze seems to be able to pack out the small clubs in the Europe but can't in the U.S. Saw him a few years back and 12 people showed up. He still played like it was a packed house and hung out after the gig, really nice guy and snag his heart out. Sadly the shows were mostly just us hard core Maiden fans and IMFC types.
