Tales From The Darkside (1990) A decent little anthology film, which I've always enjoyed. Three stories in this one with a wraparound story starring DeborahHarry as a woman planning on cooking and eating little Matthew Lawrence. He tells her the 3 stories as a way to delay his demise.
I prefer anthology horror movies over full length ones (to me they're good in small doses) and that is quite a classic.
I can't believe I'd never seen this one before. It was pretty good although the twist in the Gargoyle story was evident almost from the get go.
I think that's why I like the ABCs Of Death series. Even if a story sucks you only have to wait about 5 minutes until the next one. Of course the flipside is that anthology films tend to be very uneven because inevitably some stories are standouts and others are stinkers.

My favorite horror anthology films are the string of British films released by Amicus productions.
Dr. Terror's House of Horrors (1965) Torture Garden (1967) The House That Dripped Blood (1970) Asylum (1972) Tales From The Crypt (1972) The Vault of Horror (1973) From Beyond The Grave (1973) And Now The Screaming Starts (1974)

Yeah those Amicus films were fantastic. I'd like to see them again. Wonder if any are on Netflix ?

Watching Star Wars (VI) with the kids; of course I would give it an A+ if it weren't for all the special edition F*ck-ups. Fun times, though.

The Voices (2014)
Holy crap this is one seriously insane black comedy. Very funny, very dark and violent but also kinda sweet. It's a combination that almost never works, it's so hard to balance the comedic and horrific elements without one canceling out the other...but the director nails it. I never really gave Ryan Reynolds much thought, but damn he puts in an impressive performance here, giving a character that easily could have just been a caricature a real three-dimensional presence. Fine support from Anna Kendrick, Gemma Arterton and Jaki Weaver.

Poltergeist (2015)
Man, this was bad. Real bad.
I had high hopes for this, just for the fact that there is so much cool stuff you could do with this movie in 2015. But the whole thing just feels rushed and completely neutered when compared to it's source material. Even though that's usually the case with remakes, this was especially horrendous.

I need to see this one. I remember seeing the trailer months ago and thinking it was right up my alley.

^^ Despite my irrational hatred of Ryan Reynolds, I wanna see "The Voices" anyway. It looks disturbing, weird and cool.
...seriously, I don't know what it is about that guy, he just irritates me.

Yea, he's got something about him that makes his face very punchable.

Slither (for about the 5th time)
Dammit! We need more movies like this! A good old-fashioned monster flick with mostly practical FX instead of CGI.
And if you see this, you'll never hear Air Supply the same way again.

I've watched Slither a few times, it's a fun flick and I'm also a big fan of both Nathan Fillion and Elizabeth Banks.

I forgot that it was even out! Was there even any promos for this? When the original came out there were promos all over TV.
Just saw a snippet of a review for it:
