Same here. Pretty good game. Can't believe that AJ Burnett has the only rbi in the game so far.
Poor AJ. With a little run support he could be 4 and 0.
Pirates are at it again today with leaving guys on. I thought that was a Cardinal specialty but so far today the Pirates have left 16 guys on through 10 innings. Tied 1-1 in extras again. Pirates have outhit the Cardinal's 12-3; how the hell this is a tie game is amazing.
These two teams sure battle each other.
EDIT: Wow, the Bucs just left 2 more guys on base in the top of the 11th. I can't remember the last time I saw a team leave 18 runners on base in a game. Even the Cardinals don't do that; we're usually good for around 12.
EDIT2: Cards just won on a sac fly in the bottom of the 11th.
Damn irritating Cardinals !
I didn't watch the game because I was out cutting grass but the Pirates inability to score runs is getting troublesome. I hope they can right the ship soon.

Third game in a row the Cardinals and Pirates are tied at 1-1 after 9 innings. This time the Cards blew it in the 9th.

I'm trying to watch the Pirates vs Cardinals game but my damn directv keeps freezing up. Worst satellite /cable provider out there. I'll be glad to switch it back to cable.

That's too bad. This has been a great game again. Lots of strategy going on right now. Cardinals are now out of position players as Tony Cruz bats with the bases loaded and 2 out in the 11th.
EDIT: Uh oh, solo HR for Alvarez. That guy kills us.

BTW, my cable was out last night (rumors are Charter was hacked in several big cities) so I watched:
"John Dies At The End" for about the 10th time. Such an entertaining movie but there's just so much crammed in that it feels like it should be at least 30 minutes longer to properly flesh everything out.

And the Pirates/Cardinals marathon continues. Cards tied it in the bottom of the 11th. Now in the 14th inning. Cardinals have left 11 on base and the Pirates have left 13. This is starting to look like one of those games where a position player ends up pitching.
EDIT: Sorry 007. In case your satellite reception is still on the fritz, Kolten Wong just homered in the bottom of the 14th to win it for St. Louis.
What a series! I'd say that even if we had lost all three. Three consecutive games tied at 1 after 9 innings; that tells me these teams are evenly matched. IMO, these are the top two teams in the division and will be all season; I think the Cubs will eventually flounder because they are so young.

So I the Pirates blew it again? I turned it on to check the game. The Cards were coming up to bat and the damn thing froze up on me. Garbage...

Yep. They left the reliever Liz (never heard of him before) in for a third inning and Wong blasted a no-doubter HR. This was definitely a game of attrition. The Cardinal announcers were talking about what starting pitcher could play right field.

Oh well. Maybe we can get those games back this upcoming week when the Cards come to town.

With their lineup, the Pirates can't be this bad all season. It's like our Cardinal announcers kept saying, pounce on the Bucs while you can because they're eventually going to be on a streak where they're unbeatable.

"Pirate Radio" (aka "The Boat That Rocked," 2009)
Enjoyable period piece comedy based loosely on actual events. During England's mid 1960s rock n roll revolution, BBC radio wouldn't touch that sort of "popular" music...so a host of "pirate" radio stations set up shop aboard creaky boats in the North Sea (in international waters) to provide the newest music to Britain's rock-starved youth. "Pirate Radio" is set aboard one of these boats, which is full of wacky characters played by Bill Nighy, Nick Frost, Rhys Ifans, and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, to name just a few, and details their battles with one another and with the British government, who of course are dead set on shutting the pirate stations down. Entertaining stuff!
