Just got my Blu-ray director's cut of Clive Barker's "Night Breed" today. I'm really curious to see what this looks like because the jacket says over 40 minutes of new footage but the running time is only 20 minutes longer than the theatrical version so I assume some of the camera angles or scenes are slightly different. I've seen this movie dozens of times (I'm a Clive Barker fanboy) so it will be interesting to see if I can spot the subtle changes.
Been waiting ages for this to hit the market but I've heard that's it's still incomplete. I'm just hoping that it will be more coherent; Clive has constantly been on record about how the off-the-wall editing was nowhere near his choice. Let us know!
Yeah, I know there's some bloated 145 minute cut floating around but this one allegedly has Clive's blessing so we'll see. And I agree that while the theatrical version was enjoyable it was sort of disjointed.

I haven't seen Nightbreed since it played in the theater originally, I never revisited it because it was a mess.

Yeah but I always thought it was an enjoyable mess. I loved all the prosthetic creature FX. Plus it probably helped that I'd read "Cabal" so I could fill in some of the blanks.

TNA Impact.
I read that starting in 2015, TNA is moving to something called Destination America which apparently is part of the Discovery Channel but also requires an additional subscription fee here. I'll see how much that additional fee is once it officially happens but if it's more than a buck or two a month, forget it.

We'll see how long I stick with this game; this has massaCREE written all over it.

I can't believe they actually are giving the Raiders,of all teams, a nationally televised game.

Even more surprising, the Raiders just actually went ahead 7-0.

And now 14-0. This has been a strange season for the NFL. Teams look unstoppable one week, then horrible the next. Go Figure.

Yep. My Rams are the poster child for this season. We've beaten San Fran, Seattle and Denver and could've/should've beaten San Fran again, Philadelphia, Arizona and Dallas but we were totally blown out by Minnesota and Kansas City. We should be about 6-4 or 7-3 but not in this weird season. I bet after last week's dominating defensive performance against Denver, we go to San Diego this week and get clobbered.

Same here! Went with my Grandma and Great Aunt Jean. They loved horror movies, so that was our "thing".
Helix - The first season. Not bad.
Salem - First few episodes of season 1. So far, so good. Visually stunning.
Snowpiercer - Very different take on post-apocolyptic situation.
Spoiler:
I don't buy that the tracks and bridges would stay together and functional. Tracks need major, constant attention. However, disbelief suspension goes hand in hand with Sci Fi. :

Salem - Season 1 finished
Spoiler:
Just a faint hint of historical accuracy, this is more just a supernatural thriller/horror story. I wish it would have been true to life, because I think the killing of all those innocent people in the real world was infinitely more awful because there truly weren't any witches and it was all just hysteria.

Rams vs Chargers
What a flag fest this has been.
EDIT: Holy crap, the Rams COULD be about 7-4 this season but they keep blowing games like this. Trailing 27-24 with the ball on the Chargers 5 yd line (or thereabout), Shaun Hill throws a pick.

"Nova Rex: Ain't Easy Being Cheesy" (2011)
Low budget doc looking back at the career of small town hair-metal band "Nova Rex," who were apparently quite the Midwestern concert draw in the late 80s/early 90s... until the grunge scene came in and wiped them off the map. Mildly entertaining stuff in the "Anvil! Story of Anvil" vein.
