I liked that movie and thought that Kristin Stewart put in a great performance as Joan Jett..... Lita Ford should have been a bigger character in the flick!!!!!
Lita Ford did not give her consent to the filmmakers, so they really weren't allowed to do anything with her character.
She should given permission. It would have given her more positive exposure than her Wicked Wonderland album.

Yep. 2 prominent characters in the same episode.
I'm on the fence with this one. I think it's a little better than last season.

Cool flick. Watched it on Netflix last year.
...unfortunately they only had the English dub, which was one of the worst dubs I've seen since the glory days of Italian zombie movies. The English dialogue was so stilted and poorly acted that it added a whole 'nother level of weird to an already bizarre movie.

I used to seriously hate sub-titled movies. Fortunately my love of extremely gory movies led me to Asia and I got over it. Now I can't stand the lame dubbing that usually accompanies foreign films; give me subtitles any time. It's definitely an acquired skill to be able to read the subs and watch what is going on but once you get the hang of it, it's way preferable to sitting through the crappy dubbing.

I can no longer watch dubbed movies, ever. If no subtitled edition is available I skip it.

Rams vs Redskins
Man, some of those games that we let slip away earlier this year (like against Dallas, Philadelphia and San Diego) really hurt now. Back to back shutouts over Oakland last week and Washington today and the Rams are now 6-7.

"For the Love of Movies: The Story of American Film Criticism" (2009)
Short-and-sweet documentary that examines the art of film criticism - and its sometimes strained relationship with directors and studios - from the silent movie era to the present. Interviewees include Roger Ebert, Vincent Canby (New York Times), Pauline Kael (New Yorker) and many others.

I've watched the first series so far. I really liked the 2nd episode revolving around the fake American Idol show. The prime minister and pig episode was disturbing. Wasn't that thrilled with the 3rd episode. Will probably watch the 2nd series over the next couple days.
Movies over the past couple days:
The War Of The Worlds (1953) The War Of The Worlds (2005) The Day The Earth Stood Still (1951) The Day The Earth Stood Still (2008) Knowing (2009)

Thoughts on the remakes? I'm so back and forth with the WotW. I don't think I could assign it a letter grade if I tried.
Still haven't seen Knowing. Talk about mixed reviews when that came out.
