| The Fisher King - They don't make 'em like this anymore. An old-fashioned, somewhat sentimental, and poetic take on Don Quixote in which Robin Williams SHINES. His comedic moments, such as getting naked in Central Park, are a riot, and his more somber bits have a deep sincerity about them. Jeff Bridges (quite possibly my favorite actor of all time) is exceptional in his role. The film bogs down a bit in parts but thankfully discards of director Terry Gilliam's penchant for whimsical indulgent, save for a few parts (which are truly memorable, such as the waltz scene in Grand Central Station) and goes for the jugular with strong, cathartic characterizations--it should be noted that Gilliam surrendered any hand in the script this time around. Though the denouement could be seen as safe or contrived, I actually embraced it due to the emotional impact of the journey taken with the principles. Highly recommended, especially as a date movie if your SO has a taste for the unconventional. | |

| "Howling IV: The Original Nightmare" (1988) A stressed out author who's been suffering from supernatural visions takes off to a small town cottage to get away from it all - only to find the place has a slight werewolf problem. Yeah, I hate when that happens too. Poorly acted, slow moving, cheap looking DTV crap loaded with plot holes, lapses in logic and general WTF moments. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| "American Ninja" (1985) A U.S. Army private stationed in the Philippines uses his martial arts skills to battle a mercenary arms dealer and his private Ninja squadron. Mucho ass gets kicked in this enjoyably silly slab of 80s action cheez. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

Looking forward to this one; my favorite director and a helluva innovative concept.

| The Drew Carey Show: Best Of Mr. Wick
or whatever videos haven't been banned by Warner Brothers. I understand copyright laws, but if your not going to ever release any more episodes on DVD, what's the harm? Heck, it's not even syndicated anymore.

| Rams vs Cleveland.
Good grief! Sam Bradford is gone for the season again. That's it for is Rams' career. What a bust as a #1 overall pick. The guy is made of glass back there. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

We're comin' for ya 007. Cards vs Pirates for 3. This will help settle a lot as far as the NL Central is concerned. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Blue Thunder - caught this on HDnet or Sony Movie Channel, fun movie (not great, but still fun.) Even more interesting - the "sci-fi-ish, futuristics" aspect of tech now exist. | |

Haven't seen that in dog years. It used to be one of my fave action flicks. ...do you remember the god awful short lived TV series, with a young Dana Carvey as "JAFO" and Bubba Smith and Dick Butkus as the Blue Thunder ground-support team? _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"
