All in all, I get how these were ground breaking for Eddie back in the day but...really, what was the big deal?? I hate to say it, but if you were 10 years older you would understand.
He's around my age, and I get it. So I'm not quite sure age has anything to do with it. Since last post: Newsradio Alf Green Acres Law & Order Monday Night Raw

| UNSTOPPABLE -- I do love trains, so this was a fun ride. Surprised to learn that it was based on a real incident as well. Last film of Tony Scott before his death; all due respect to an industry legend, but the visuals here still drive me batty. The camera never stops moving while the editing is jarring with an average shot length of perhaps two seconds. Adding insult to injury is constantly choking focal length with a complete disregard for creative depth of field (this was a problem I had with World War Z, which had the same DOP). Nevertheless, I enjoyed the dynamic between Washington and Pine (the latter should really be a hot commodity these days with the talent he has), and the mechanics and tech of it all is enthralling. It just never gets very gripping due to the unstable photography. | |

Yeah, had the same problem when I took my kids to see it. My favorite bit: Lego Batman: "Quick, to the Batmobile!" (spaceship blows up Batmobile) Lego Batman: "Dang it!" Lego Wonder Woman: "Quick, to the Invisible Jet!" Also didn't realize that Steven Dorf was in this (of course I didn't know who he was at the time). This means he was in the two movies with my favorite rap soundtracks (this and Blade).

| ^^I actually think that was Leary's best film role. Some say he was OTT, I say he was menacing. Truly acting against type there. | |

| "Phenomena" (1985) A girl with insect-whispering abilities uses them to solve a series of murders at her exclusive Swiss girl's boarding school in Dario Argento's artsy, weird but oddly compelling horror/mystery starring a teenaged Jennifer Connelly. Also known as "Creepers." _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"
