Hate is a strong word, but these are some bands I do not care for:

Led Zeppelin
Rolling Stones
Aerosmith
Stray Cats, Social Distortion, etc. (I don't like rockabilly)

Skimming through the lists, I'm happy to see some of you agree with me on some really popular bands like Led Zeppelin (could never get into them) and the Rolling Stones. All you folks putting KISS on your lists, though.....wow man, that's just, wow...stunned....shaking my head.

Music is in the ears of the beholder.  I have the "shaking my head" reaction to people who don't like The Stones.  I can understand it but having seen them live twice (the Voodoo Lounge tour at Giants Stadium is still the best show I've ever seen) makes me feel sorry for people who "don't get The Stones".  

But like I said, music is in the ear of the beholder so there's really no right or wrong answer, just opinions. BTW, I'm with you on KISS too.

Dave Matthews, ugh. I worked with a guy who loved them and when he could pick it was mostly DMB.
Pretty much can't stand the pop punk bands like Green Day.

Not surprisingly I agree with you on DMB but strongly disagree on pop punk bands, I'm a sucker for them.

It's that ears/beholder thing again.

I respect Matthew's talent and his band has skill, but his music is ultimately boring hipster tripe.

Precisely. I think the fact that all that talent is wasted on crap music just makes me hate the band more.

Im not a fan of DMB or jam bands like Phish..

Yeah, I'm not a fan of those types of bands, either. Even though I haven't heard much by Phish, what I have heard I didn't like.

I also do not like Ska! Mighty Mighty Bosstones and the like.

Phish is amazing as a live band, while their studio albums are just good. They're amazing with improv and trade-offs, very kinetic vibe from the stage.

There are bands I don't really care for, but I try to avoid them altogether rather than talking about them. It's only purpose would be to aggravate those who do & that doesn't appeal to me at all. Internet bickering just doesn't do it for me.

Primus is cool, maybe a bit obnoxious, but fun stuff.

Nope, I like Primus; though I have to be in the mood for it.

I don't have enough time for stuff I love much less time to worry about stuff that doesn't interest me.

Love me some Primus. Fizzle Fry is a desert island disc for me.

Stray cats are definitely Rockabilly, but Social Distortion???!!! No Way! Those guys are pure punk rock. Mike Ness had a little rockabilly influence on his Under the Influences album bur he was covering old country classics. Social Distortion is one of my all time favorite bands and Brian Setzer is one of my favorite guitarists.

Social D and Johnny Cash are more metal than f*cking Metallica. Yeah, you all heard me right.
