Duuuuuuude. Why focus on the negative, man? Spread the love for the music you dig and leave the negative vibes to the trolls that used to inhabit Blabbermouth and have since scurried back under their rocks.

FIRST, I don't HATE any of these bands, but I don't get why sooo many people like them. I just can't get into them. I have NO hate for anyone, It's just crap to me..

I get KISS, but what's your beef with the Stones? Just curious because I can't really pigeonhole them to one type of style so unless you hate Mick's vocals, I'd like to know why you don't like them.

I wouldn't say I dislike every single thing, to be fair, although Mick has never been a grower on me. I probably wouldn't die if I was on an island with 'Exile On Main St.', they do what they do, it's objectively good in that context I think......but that type of swing isn't too much my thing.

Like if we were both concertgoers in '69, I'd go to Yes, you'd go to Stones, and we'd meet At The Court of the Crimson King.

I think that's an age thing. The Stones were around for decades before Petty but all you "youngin's" ever hear are the Stones "hits" so they become very repetitive and "boring".

Yep, that explains it. You just rattled off a bunch of bands that I really like.

But I pride myself on not being confined to "classic bands"; I like to think I'm also up to date on new bands that I like. If you check out my daily Playlist entries you'll usually see me posting bands no one else has heard of. I think I'm pretty cool for an old fart.

I dont hate them they just do nothing for me. I cannot say I hate any real bands like the first reply to this thread why focus on the ones you hate so much dude its such a waste of time, use that energy on the bands you love.

At some point I figured out that hating something just takes too much damn energy.
