Me n Spec saw what was probably Jani Lane's last onstage appearance. Came up and did the encore with Kix at the HardRock about a month before he choked on a slice a pie.

I went other to vote for Mick Jagger.

Much like Toho, I came for this poll already knowing whom to give a vote. Mercury.

Mercury for me as well.

I saw the title and thought of Robert Plant.

I found his name on the poll and that's who I voted for. Not much thinking involved.

Bon Scott, hands down, the guy could make an arena feel like a small club and arena like a club gig. The man was amazing.

glad I got to see him before he passed. The band went on to bigger and better things, but was never the same as far as I am concerned. RIP

My inner KISS fanboy wants to know why Paul Stanley/Gene Simmons were not included in the list... yeah, I know, they're older than dirt now but back in the day nobody could touch 'em. Double the frontmen, double the awesomeness.

I almost said Mick Jagger, who in some ways is the ultimate frontman, and influenced so many people or Jim Morrison, who IMO was also great and so charsmatic that he overshadowed the entire band.

First time I saw Cinderella I was blown away by how much of Tom Kieiffer's look and stage presence was attributed to Steven Tyler. Also Guns N Roses were to Aerosmith was Aerosmith was to the Stones IMO.

Steve Whiteman of Kix owes a lot of his stage presence to Jagger/Tyler as well.

I'm not much of a fan, but no mention for Alice!!!!!!! Even I think that he's an amazing showman! edit, sorry corphicks I didn't see your post, carry on! 

DLR on showmanship and entertainment, but yet again who else can pull if off like Dave. Not the best singer, but damn good times....

Ozzy, Bruce, and Gillan are up there too.

edit: Steven Tyler, how could I forget him. Up there with the best.

Well, all said and done, for me it would be IAN GILLAN from those listed. Not only that I consider him my all time favourite singer, he is a great front man who knows the crowd pulse.

i went with Jagger because he continues to be a great frontman. I know its not fair because Bon is not alive but Jagger has continued to deliver great performances and showmanship.

I've seen a few of those guys live. I went with Bruce Dickenson. Just great pure energy in his performance.

It's amazing he's in the shape he is at his age and after all the abuse he's done to his body over the decades. And still he runs and jumps all over the freakin' place!

Alice Cooper is another good choice.

Pinnick is another one. He had presence you can't teach.
