Already being discussed in the GWAR thread... but anywhoo, it's a bummer. Listened to "America Must Be Destroyed " in the truck this AM at properly ear splitting volume in tribute....

Damn that sucks, first they lose Cory and now Dave, I wouldn't be surprised if this is the end of the group, I just don't see anyone replacing Dave.

Couldn't believe when I read this earlier and still can't.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they actually carried on. Dave did talk about it. Gwar could be around forever. Would a new vocalist be as good as Dave was? I doubt it. Hes kind of a hard character/person to replace. He has such a sense of humor that not too many people have. Even his song writing was unique. The rest of the band have been doing it for a very long time so to carry on I don't think would really be a problem but it definitely won't be the same. Being a Gwar fan, I'll stick with them.

According to Blabbermouth today, the Richmond, VA. coroner has declared Dave Brockie's cause of death as an accidental heroin overdose.

What a waste...

I wonder if Dave was using because he was still torn up over Cory's death?

Sad news. Only like a handful of Gwar songs but I liked the costumes they wore and the video Sadam A Go-Go. I remember seeing them on a Jerry Springer episode about shock rockers and Oderus was actually a well spoken person and seemed more down to earth than any of the other guests (apart from being in costume ).

Yeah, that's a classic GWAR moment right there. The other guest was El Duce of the infamous Mentors, next to that guy anybody would've seemed "well spoken and down to earth."
