Thanks for all the responses....excited to take him to meet Gene now! Hopefully he will not be disappointed that he's not wearing makeup...ha, I don't know if he's ever seen him unmasked.

Gene can be a tremendous douche when interviewed for sure. If you prod him, he's gonna push back without a doubt. But he's been in the business long enough to know how the game is played when it comes to fan meet-n-greets. I'm sure he'll be fine, especially to young kid fans.

I had a similiar experience as a wee lad. My parents took me to an auto show where it was billed that tv's "Incredible Hulk Lou Ferrigno" would be there. Of course, I expected to see a big green Hulk in tattered clothes smashing cars or something. Instead, I saw a muscley guy in a golf shirt signing photos.
I never trusted my parents again.

Paul sez he's open to the idea of KISS doing a new studio album:

Looks like Gene & Paul's venture into indoor football is coming to an end after 2 seasons...
Quote :
According to The Orange County Register, LA KISS, the Arena Football League team co-owned by Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons of KISS, has ceased operations.
"As I understand, [LA KISS] won't be involved in any football moving forward," AFL Players Union executive director Ivan Soto wrote in an e-mail on Monday.
LA KISS became the third AFL team to fold and the fifth to leave the league over the past week. First, one of the league's longest serving teams, the Orlando Predators, folded earlier this week. Then, one of the league's newer teams, the Jacksonville Sharks, announced they were leaving the AFL for a rival league. Another long-standing team, the Arizona Rattlers, are looking to join the Indoor Football League. That leaves just four teams in the AFL, half the number that started the 2015 season.
No official announcement about LA KISS's status has been made by the team or the league.

Agreed, meet and greets are a huge part of KISS' act. This video from the KISS Kruise gives a sense of what Gene's are like:

KISS' Arena Football League team is one of several AFL franchises to close up shop in the past week.
I saw that on Sleazeroxx a few minutes ago in addition to a cool article about how Eric Singer got in the band. On another Kiss note I played my newest bootleg a few times today and really enjoyed it. I also grabbed the Kiss Rocks Vegas CD/DVD. So, in a week I managed to purchase one of their earliest shows and one of the most recent. Ha.

This is pretty cool. Go to about the 3:30 mark from this podcast to see a long-lost video for the song 'I' from Music from the Elder with a rare appearance of Ace with Eric Carr.
And around the 4:50 mark, you can watch Gene give Ace a hickey!!

I thought that might be their performance on the old Fridays tv show but that's definitely not it. I've never seen that video before.

I didn't watch the whole pod-cast, but if I understand correctly, they filmed this clip for distribution, but the album tanked so badly, they shelved it. I don't know how these pod cast guys got a hold of it. Watch it quick before Gene has it pulled!!
EDIT: I watched the whole pod-cast and they don't really give much more info behind the clip. One thing they did mention was that in some book about KISS, there are still photos from the shoot, so they knew this version existed, but it remained unseen. Until now!

I watched this over the weekend. The existence of this video has been legend in KISS collector/nerd circles for years. Apparently they shot it with the intent of submitting it to the then-new MTV, but when Gene & Paul saw how silly the finished product looked they opted to shelve it.
Then the album tanked and so it became a moot point anyway.

A cheesy, terrible, ill-timed video that pairs great with a cheesy, terrible, ill-timed album. Great job guys!

It's a carbon-fiber racing bike. I can see the pic just fine on my desktop, however I noticed when I looked through my phone, the pic didn't show.
Try this link if you're that curious. http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/kiss-officially-licensed-bicycle-now-available/

Based on that list of new contracts I'll hold out for the KISS waffle maker.
In other news, Gene's solo band looks and sounds pretty good based on the footage of a recent corporate event they played. I read that he is likely going to book a US tour. I would definitely go see them.
I don't know how to embed a Facebook video here but it's on the SleazeRoxx site as well:

I'g go see Gene's solo tour. I caught Paul's show a few years back and it was great.

I just bought a ticket for Gene solo in Chicago at the end of August. Should be a nice way to wrap up the summer concert season just before I head back to Korea. His most recent setlist is longer than that initial show that he did. It will be pretty cool to hear some of these songs live again:
Deuce Radioactive Nothin' to Lose Calling Dr. Love Almost Human Cold Gin I Love it Loud Got Love for Sale Parasite Plaster Caster Charisma Watchin' You Domino Christine Sixteen Johnny B. Goode Let Me Go, Rock 'N' Roll Rock and Roll All Niite

Should be fun to see him and his band in a smaller setting, without all the glitz and glamour and just playing some good ol' rock n roll. Have fun.
