Kind of niche, but out of the two Lengsel albums, I think 'The Kiss, The Hope' is by far the best one, and that's considering the debut was amazing. There is just nothing like it, checking out the lyrics makes it even better.
I'd add Dirty Diamonds to the under-rated Alice Cooper list. I even don't mind the bonus track Stand.
I love Diamond Head's Death & Progess and Budgie's Deliver Us From Evil.
State Of Euphoria is far and away my favorite Anthrax album.
I hate genre labels and arguments.
Have never understood why people care what music other people are into. Or how they present themselves in their love of it. The "poser" and "true" thing always escaped me.
I thought it was cool when Metallica cut their hair.
Heavy Metal Parking Lot is not comedic or funny to me. It is a true snapshot in time. Thing is real to me.
After "Black Cat" I wanted Janet Jackson to front a metal band.
If I ever come across that Killen record I am so buying it.

That might be cause for another topic. R&B artists experimenting with Rock. I believe that En Vogue did a hard rock song as well.......... "Free Your Mind"
... and yes I do like both of those tunes.
oh, and this one written by the current lead singer of AIC:
I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why State of Euphoria was so heavily criticized and seen as the worst Belladonna album. It was every bit as good as, if not better than, Among the Living. Every song had more of an identity than Living, sort of how Disease was written. And the mix was perfect. Yeah, the artwork was stupid, but who cares when the music is THAT good?
And IMO, Dystopia is a f*cking killer album.
I have a new one I should've added earlier, and this may be the furthest out there I get buuut...
...Aerosmith is boring.
Okay, everyone calm down, and you there, son, put down that brick. Now, I will say Rocks is a great album the whole way through, all the singles are decent, Get a Grip was likable even with all the ballads, but all I find in between all that is filler. That's right, filler. I said put the f*cking brick down. Anyway, I have complete understanding why many of you would disagree with my sentiment, and yes I'd be hard-pressed to find another like myself, so I refuse to argue my opinion because it would be pointless to do so. I also respect Aerosmith, but find that the Stones and even Faces to be more enjoyable music than what Tyler & Co put out.
Vengeance's Human Sacrifice is just an average thrash album. Once Dead was far superior.
Most prog metal is too much wankery and not nearly enough good old headbanging rhythms.
Contrary to seemingly popular belief, metal IS a way of life and IS a mindset.
These bands are B-O-R-I-N-G: Pink Floyd, Rush, Black Sabbath.
Calling thrash metal "trash" metal is an insult; not a compliment. I've seen lots of times where it's called that, and it seems intentional and as if it's a good thing.
Now I've heard everything. Can't get much worse than that!
Agreed, I liked Unmasked to some extent, and at least that album had the excuse for being meddled with too much by the producer, but The Elder was an egomaniac project that should've been shot down in a hurry, it was just completely listless for me, even the band is pretty ashamed of it nowadays, to quote Paul in KISS Unmasked "i'd give it a big question mark"
I loved Grunge and other similar alternative hard rock of the 90's. And I was in my 30's by the time it hit so it's not a generational bias, I just thought there was a ton of quality music then. I still listen to a lot of it now.

...and for the real kicker that will get my metal card taken (no, not really...nobody can really take it, since I know I'm a metalhead, haha)...
Guitar solos are overrated.
Yep.
I like them ok and appreciate them, but if a song doesn't have one, I usually don't even miss it or realize it.
My opinion on this is probably because I'm a drummer; therefore much more interested in the rhythm aspects of a song, and not so much the melody (although that's important) or whatever else the guitarist is doing; as long as he or she is playing metal.

I will admit to sorta liking Alice In Chains and Soundgarden, but I just can't really get into the other groups.
As for solos, I do like them, but several of the modern rock bands I like don't really use them a lot, so if a song dosen't have one, I tend to not notice.
I'm not a huge Bruce fan either. It really depends on the record, I find. Some I'm feeling it, some not. I think - and I say this still with the utmost respect for him and what he's accomplished with Maiden - that he must be the most successful often-flat singer in metal.
