| I don't like that term either, I like a lot of "commercial" sounding albums, like Fastway's-On Target(the non-reworked version) and Stormwitch- Eye Of The Storm. | |

| Empire is better than Operation: Mindcrime. Crawl To China is a great album. The Black Album is better than ...And Justice For All I liked the previous Narnia vocalist, Christian L. (sadly found out they broke up ) Time is the best Mercyful Fate album bar none. | |

You are high. Time isn't even the best 90s Mercyful Fate album. Clearly, it can't touch Melissa and DBTO.

Never got into Priest(I know, crazy huh?) I don't think anyone is really required to like anything, but there may be at least one in the Priest catalog you like just because of how they evolved and what they've tried over so many years. Rage is a band like that too. - Thrasher73 wrote:

| I guess it's unorthodox that I don't own a KISS album (I plan to rectify this shortly, however). | |

| I don't own one either. Had a few best ofs and 'Carnival of Souls' on tape so long ago I don't remember. 'Carnival' was the stuff most approaching 'good', and the red/black fade Ibanez Iceman on the cover was cool. I don't really have a need for KISS. | |

While we're on the subject of Zombie, I like his solo material better then White Zombie. I also like Nightwish and Theatre Of Tragedy, but I felt that both bands weren't as good without their original singers(it was total BS how Tarja got fired), not sure if that's an "unorthodox" opinion or not.

Change that to High-N-Dry and I'm totally in your corner. Oops, actually I meant High-N-Dry, so I agree with you. Most people would not agree though. I agree wholeheartedly. And I would like to add: Point of Entry was not a disappointing follow-up to British Steel, but a kick ass album.

Turbo is a damn good album in it's own right, and Ram It Down is just as good as Painkiller.

| Piece Of Mind is my least favorite 80s Iron Maiden album (though I still like it)
I prefer Point Of Entry to Defenders Of The Faith or anything that came after it.
Metallica's "$5.98 EP" is much more enjoyable than And Justice For All (the Breadfan cover is great though).
I like Sound Of White Noise as much as any of the previous Anthrax albums.
The only Megadeth albums I ever need to own are Peace Sells and Rust In Peace.
I prefer Overkill when Bobby was still the guitarist.
My favorite Voivod album is Angel Rat.
My favorite Celtic Frost album is Into The Pandemonium.
Yngwie Malmsteen did more harm than good to the evolution of guitar playing.
Slayer's Diabolus In Musica is a good album.
The Seattle scene needed to happen, the hair metal herd needed to be thinned out.
I also hate Dream Theater.
I liked Chaos A.D. and Roots.
I'm a fan of Dio's Strange Highways and Angry Machines albums.
I'll take "slow and heavy" over "fast and aggressive".
Iron Maiden is one of the only 80s metal bands I will still buy new releases from.
Sammy Hagar was a better vocalist, but Van Halen was boring as hell with him in the band.
Pleasures Of The Flesh is my favorite Exodus album.
Trouble was far more interesting than Candlemass.
Most of the best heavy bands in history are from the UK & Europe.
I never need to hear any of the 80s pop metal/glam metal/sleaze metal bands again in my lifetime.
Flick Of The Switch was the last solid AC/DC album.
The only KISS album I ever need to own is Alive I.
I love live albums.

| For Maiden, I like No Prayer For The Dying, Fear Of The Dark, X Factor, and Virtual XI more then Somewhere In Time And Seventh Son.
I think Hagar is a better vocalist then Roth and I like his material better. I also didn't think Cherone was that bad.
I find Lock Up The Wolves to be Dio's most underrated album.
Cold Lake is my favorite Celtic Frost album.
